“Don’t let her get away” I heard the mistresses calling behind me.
I took off before he did anything and ran down the street. I stopped behind a corner and sank down to the grown with my hands in my face. That boy. He didn’t do anything to stop me. He just let me go. He had long black, straight hair with little waves and had the same fair skin the other boy had. I hid my face with my hoodie so that no one would recognize me.
*At the gate of the palace*
“Joe, why didn’t आप stop her?’
“What?”
“Mr. Joseph Jonas, why didn’t आप stop the queen’s daughter?” asked one of the
Mistresses.
“That was the princess?”
“No we were running her down because she was the queen’s daughter” कहा Nick
“She’ll come back” कहा the queen, “I’m so sorry आप had to come here for
nothing. Can आप come back tomorrow?”
“We wouldn’t mind at all” replied Nick.
We got in the car and began driving home. All my thoughts were on the princess and how
beautiful she was. In my context she would be described as an angel. The way her brown curly hair complemented her face, the way how her eyes were so deep, the way how she jumped from पेड़ to पेड़ like it was some kind of game. It was like she was too good to be true. But why was she running away?
“Ugh, I can’t believe my luck today. My own fiancée running away from me” mumbled Nick.
My brother over there was going to get married to her. He was so lucky. Always the lucky one. He just seemed to me like he got everything he wants. And that’s why we don’t get along. He’s spoilt and just isn’t the cute little innocent boy he used to be. How my parents could choose him over me?
“Joseph look out!”
I was so deep into my thoughts that I didn’t notice I pulled up in the wrong lane. Coming at us was a huge truck!
