I live in Islamic Republic of Iran! I mean, hello!! Did you ever heard of Iranian Revolution before, back in 1979? If only Iran was a secular democracy, even if we had to restore the monarchy in my country once again. Freedom is much more important than anything else, so, if I have to chose between living in a monarchy with a secular democracy and a republic with a fundamental theocracy, I would take monarchy anytime. I wish Iran was a monarchy once again, a Western secular democracy, a monarchy much like Jordan, for example.

Officially, Turkey is still a secular democracy, at least in theory. In reality, however, things are not looking so great for our secular state. We're more and more like Iran every single day. No offense, Farhad.
