Shows great and all dont get me wrong i love it and DS is a genius but this Lucas-Cuddy thing is killing me. I like him when he was the PI he was hilarious and i like him personally but he killed the tension. DS says lucas is in the forseeable future? Then why do some spoilers say hes leaving ep. 14? I think theyre stringing us along to surprise us. Get us mad then give in only a tiny bit. Things clearing up maybe? Disguise a big moment?

hmmm
I think DS is great, but not like Luke Cuddy-arc. I think she accepts the marriage proposal to Lucas and so it goes until the end of the season. I think David Shore should think more about what the public wants to see and definitely not Lucas and Cuddy together!

Lucas is still around in episode 17 and there are no signs of him leaving. We are screwed. The last time DS said he liked 13, and she's been around for 3 years and was given increased screentime.

Good grief, I thought he was supposed to be out by episode 14! This whole ice age thing with Huddy is killing me...Throw us some fricking crumbs, at least! Some meaningful glances or something. We haven't seen anything since "Known Unknowns".

Um, guys, did you see the promo pics for 6x14?? Two out of three of them showed intreactions of House and Cuddy.

I know fanpop didn't exist, but is this how everyone reacted when House was involved with Stacy?

Ok, that was a great interview and YES, I am probably a little insane and Huddy taints my view of things, but I am fairly sure that things end this season with Lucas leaving.

Guys, i am getting a little pissed at the way David Shore handles interviews. People have told me before that i should not believe a word he's saying, and i was outraged at this idea, because i have tremendous respect for his creative brilliance. But when it comes to interviews, especially Huddy related interviews, 'cause that's what we care about most, he does not seem a to be a reliable source for spoilers.
The first example that comes to my mind is the complete contradiction between this interview and the one he gave to "TV Guide" in autumn, in which he called Huddy the "new team on the show" that will get all the attention "later this season", while they explore and develop their relationship... That sounds completely ridiculous at this point, looking in retrospective and in relation to the new interview he just gave, and if we are to suppose that things will get much better "in the foresseable future" until the end of the season, then what's up with all the Luddy talk, both with David Shore and Katie Jacobs?...

TPTB only cares about ratings. You can't really believe anything they say. DS said that they would explore Huddy's relationship deeper. KJ in her Twitter chat said that Huddy will be in a relationship only to retract it like minutes later. It's like GY saying that Cuddy fans won't be disappointed with episode 14 when most Cuddy fans are Huddy fans. Like we would be happy seeing Cuddy having sex with Lucas? Also, GY said that episode 7 on was Huddy when it pretty much has been about Luddy, and the last two episodes had no Huddy at all. Episodes 15, 16, 17 will also have no Huddy.

I just don't think we need to get too down about it yet. It's obviously not going to happen anytime soon. That doesn't mean ever...so it could be worse.

House_alias, yes, that was pretty much the range of contradictory statements that i was thinking about. I cannot even view any of this as publicity strategies, because they have no structure and they serve no purpose, they just show indetermination on the part of the creators - and i think that is a false impression they give us, perhaps they are just playing around and not taking these interviews seriously. All that "we had so much fun doing "Wilson", we said: "let's do Cuddy next" is just a rather cheap commercial line Mr Shore serves us. In such a complex creative process, like doing "House", spontaneity on the part of the writers is transformed in clear strategies that are tested in focus groups and are discussed over and over again, a LONG LONG LONG time before the episode prepares for filming. I am positive that at least Shore and Jacobs know exactly what the show is about, at least 15-20 episodes in advance, if not full seasons in a row.

What they did to Jennifer/Cameron makes me be even more sure about the fact that they take pride in not searching to offer the viewers the demanded gratifications. Perhaps they use the focus groups to see what fans want and then give them the exact opposite, God only knows... Cameron had a big fanbase and a lot of people were eager to see even more of her on the show (which, btw, in a very cruel manner David Shore actually promised in the beginning of season 6...), and they sacked her for "creative reasons". Perhaps they were fighting with Jennifer, perhaps there were various non-creative reasons for this decision, but it still is something they did without giving a crap about what the fans would want.
My guess is, it's part of their concept of the show to be as original as possible and never give in to anything except their own creative visions, however non-gratifying for the viewers those are. It's also the main reason i first fell in love with the show, but some of the directions in which they chose to push the stories and the characters have become frustrating in time.

Belle, i know you disagree, i am sorry to be bitter like this, but i cannot view my status as a Huddy fan like a religion that i have to be a fervent adorer of, without any proof. The reason i support Huddy and i talk about Huddy and i dream about Huddy and i try to show all the people i know how great Huddy is, is that it brings me satisfaction and joy and it's fun and interesting and it offers a very pleasant way to elope reality and find refuge in good quality fantasy-world. We all need that, it's a basic human need, there is no reality-based sanity without the escape of fantasy. But the thing is, opposed to harsh realities, fantasy should be able to offer easier gratification, otherwise it's not serving its purpose. For a lot of us (of course, not for all), this season Huddy provided very little satisfactory escapes in the fantasy world of PPTH. However, i am sure the writers can manage to offer us some gratification without actually getting Huddy in a full-blown relationship, and that's probably what they'll do. I'm gonna try to take some distance and watch them solving this situation, what else can i do...

@DB,
You can feel free to disagree with me whenever. It isn't a problem for me. I think the difference is that there is proof to me, and not to you. I think it is a matter of perception. What you view as a satisfactory level of Huddy and what I view as a hope for Huddy are apparently totally different and the level of what we need as fans is also different. If every season was like this season, I would feel upset and bitter. At the same time, I can't say I have been miserable this season. There have been some really great episodes too. Lean on Huddy, and yes I am a little more of a creature of faith. Maybe I shouldn't be. Sorry about that.

OK, I was a little upset when I first read that Lucas was still around after episode 14, and got kind of carried away with my post. I'm going to try to be more positive...The promo pics show House with Cuddy, so they're at least speaking to one another from the looks of it. That has to be a little bit of an improvement over the ice age, right? I'm really going out on a limb here, LOL. Trying to still be hopeful, though...
