I don't think House has a "favorite." I think he loves all of the others a bit, some probably more than others (Wilson, Cameron, Thirteen, and yes Chase), but he doesn't seem to hold Chase above all the others. It was just that in that last episode, Chase was in danger so House's fondness of him showed. He's done that before, only letting his true affection show when something really bad is happening.

Well, he is one of my favorite. And why? Because his accent is so nice and he wants to be a good doctor, even he can be unsure about that sometimes.
