She has always been there for me. I help her, she helps me. To this दिन I cannot believe how she accepts me for who I am. That is why whenever I see her I can't help but have a big grin on my face.
"Russia~!" Tally cries and pounces on me from behind. I laugh. This is her usual routine.
"Privet," I reply. But today wasn't any ordinary day. It was Valentines Day. "Happy St. Valentines day!"
"Thanks." She responds. Then, I take out a dozen red and white roses.
Tally gasps. "I-is this for me? आप shouldn't have! But thank you, so much." She shines a smile at me then hugs me tightly. "Ooh, I can't wait to display these in my new apartment!"
"I'm glad आप like them." I say.
"Do आप want to come with me to the apartment?" She asks. I nod. "Great!"
----------
We arrive at her small flat. Tally immediately digs in the cabinets for a nice vase to fit the गुलाब in. "Aha." She takes out a tall, narrow, metallic vase. She fills it with water, and plops the rose stems inside it. Tally hesitates, and takes out a red rose and fits it in her hair. She ends it with a grin towards me.
That smile, it makes me so warm and happy inside.
"Soooo what do आप want to do today?" She asks. I shrug. "Anything is alright with me."
Tally has her thinking face on, but then it suddenly changes into a smirk. "Do आप have वोडका, वोदका on you?"
"Da, of course," I take out a bottle of the strong liquor from my कोट pocket. "sorry I only have one this time." I hand her the bottle.
"Not a problem, we usually share it anyways, right?" Tally takes the bottle and takes a couple sips. She hands it back to me. I can't help but chuckle. "It would be fun getting drunk, but shouldn't we wait till a little later? It's Valentines day, we should probably go out and do something." Okay, to be honest Tally and I don't have much other फ्रेंड्स besides each other. "Yeah, we pro'ly should," She slips a light zip-up jacket. "It's a little chilly."
-----
We decide to take a stroll in the local park. The once-gentle breeze turns heavy. I begin to think it's going to carry Tally away. While we're walking, we find a familiar figure a ways away from us. "Is that...?" Tally begins, but when she looks at me, my face has grown pale. She touches my arm. "Russia?"
It was Belarus.
"Um.. आप mind going the other way?" I ask nervously, avoiding any contact towards my sister.
"Why?" I jerk my head over to Belarus' way. "...Ohhhh. Yeah." We pivot and begin walking the opposite way. I can't believe we managed to avoid Belarus fully this time. But then I feel a cold hand fall on my shoulder.
"Ohh, brudder. How fortunate to find आप here. "On St. Valentines day." She says cruelly. I freeze. All I can stutter out is, "D-da."
"Yo Belarus." Tally says casually, leaning her elbow on my other shoulder. I hope she doesn't notice me shaking.
"May I ask what आप two are doing together?" Belarus says. "Y'know, juuuust hanging." Tally replies.
"Hanging? Hm. Interesting. I'll see आप around, brudder." Belarus begins walking away, but before so, she gives me a menacing stare. Chills run down my spine, I hate it when she does that.
"Is it just me या are we always running into her?" Tally asks. I nod. "Always keeping a close eye on me." She mutters and looks down.
"You mean me?"
"No. She probably thinks I'm your girlfriend या something. 'Coz we're always hanging out and stuff."
"That's right." I sigh. Tally gives me a pat on the back. We exchange looks. "Hahahaha, now, how 'bout some और of that वोडका, वोदका now?"
