Considering all the incredibly strong, intelligent, skilled female characters in the series, it's hard to call Fleur's poor performance sexist because I'm sure that wasn't JK's intent. However, the combination of her abysmally poor performance, the fact that she's the only female contestant and her overtly feminine ways is something that has grated on me. Of all the characters/plot lines that JK constructed, Fleur's is the only one I find disappointing. She's the embodiment of that stereotype of 'ultra-feminine girls = incompetence'.
