(Sam, Mercedes, and Quinn are in a classroom having a conversation together. A student, Joe, is standing outside making sure he came to the right place.)
Joe's Thoughts: From what I've seen so far, this school seems okay. The most awkward moment is when people are looking at me, wondering why the homeless dude with the गिटार came here. Well, I'm not homeless. I can care less about what they say. If there's one thing God taught me, it's that आप don't need fancy things to be happy. It's just love. In fact, he's the reason why I'm going to शामिल होइए the God Squad team. Okay...here we go.

(The door swings open. Mercedes looks up and sees Joe with his guitar. Sam and Quinn look up as well. Quinn seems to be drawn द्वारा his physical appearance.)
Mercedes: Name, please.
Joe: Joe...Joe Hart.
Quinn (leaning to Sam, whispering): He's the kid that I saw at the lockers the other day. I told you, Sam.
(Sam takes one strange look at Joe. He seemed to have worn an old कमीज, शर्ट with some jeans and sandals, and his hair was out on his head.)
Sam (whispering to Quinn): Wanna explain to me why there's a huge टारेंटयुला sitting on his head?
Quinn (gritting her teeth, punching Sam in the arm, whispering): Shut it, Sam!
Mercedes: Enough, आप two!
Quinn (rolling her eyes): Fine.
Sam (to Joe): So...why शामिल होइए the club?
Joe: Well, first, I want to शामिल होइए something in school that involves interaction with other students. I mean, I was homeschooled, so I really don't know much about everyone else in the outside world.
Sam (critically): सेकंड reason.
Mercedes (annoyed): Sam.
Joe: I'm a child of God, like everyone around me is. I'm all for दिखा रहा है प्यार for God right back, आप know?
(Quinn smiles. Sam is still looking at Joe critically.)
Sam: So...you mind telling us about yourself?
Joe (pushing his hair back): Well, each one of my dreads represents a book in the Bible. I walk with no shoes on most of the time, and we don't have much at घर so I just wear these sandals. I also know how to sing and play guitar.
Mercedes: Seems as if येशु gave आप talent.
Quinn (gazing at Joe): Praise.
Mercedes (smiling): Well, you're going to like this club. But if आप want to really दिखाना प्यार for God, आप should really spread to the students at this school first. Everyone here seems to have shown some kind of hatred. I can't even imagine how many slushie facials there have been since my freshman year.
(Quinn nodded in agreement and turned back to Joe. He seemed confused as to what a slushie facial was.)
Joe: Slushie facial?
Mercedes: The important thing is that the एंन्जल्स above would be glad that आप have joined with us. We're going to perform for couples on Valentine's Day.
Joe (eager): Really?
Quinn: Yeah, offer our services.
Joe: Awesome.

(The अगला day, 6 और days until Valentine's Day, everyone is in the lunch room. All members of the God Squad share a तालिका, टेबल together. One student almost bumps his tray into Joe, and starts laughing. Then he whispers to his friend अगला to him. Joe rubs his slightly sore head.)
Joe: Man, you're right. These people...well, दिखाना off a lot of hatred.
Mercedes: Do आप see what I mean? आप can't go anywhere without someone doing something terrible to you.
Joe: I can see that.
(At that moment, Finn rushes over. Trying to catch his breath, he stands towards Mercedes, trying to say something to her.)
Mercedes: Oh, Finn. Are आप here to request a song for us to sing to Rachel for Valentine's Day?
Finn (shaking his head): God, no. Why would I do that?
Joe: Harsh.
Sam: Because she still cares about you, and it's almost Valentine's Day. It's about time you...like, दिखाना love, right?
Quinn: Preach.
Finn: I'm here to make a request, but it's not just for Rachel; it's for the whole ग्ली club. आप just said, Sam, that it's time to दिखाना love.
Sam: Dang, I did just say that, didn't I?
Finn: So I want to do something for everyone. And I may not be in प्यार with Rachel या anything, but she's still a friend to me.
Joe (nodding): Way to दिखाना प्यार for all your friends, Finn. That's what Hebrews 13:16 actually says; "Don't neglect to do good and to share what आप have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." I call an amen to that.
Finn (impressed, turning to Mercedes): The boy's smart. (Mercedes nods.) So, will आप do it?
Mercedes (to Sam, Quinn, and Joe): Well...agreement, guys?
Quinn, Sam, and Joe: Agreement.
(Finn reaches his hand out to shake with Sam and Joe.)
Finn: Thanks, guys so much.
Sam: Don't just thank us; thank God for letting us all live.
Joe (throws a fist in the air): Praise.
Quinn (dazed, looking at Joe): I'm 100% attracted to आप right now.

(Finn walks away happily, leaving The God Squad to finish lunch. Over at another table, Rory and Artie are having lunch with Mike, Puck, and Tina. Rory notices Joe at the other table.)
Rory (to Artie): I don't know why, but I think I knew him before.
Artie: You've met dread heads in Ireland?
Rory: No, but...I could've sworn I've seen him before.
Artie (awkwardly): Weird...
