I believe जानवर should have the rights to live without abuse, cruelty या severe violation at man's hands, and to live a life of peace and harmony as we do.
I think that in the end at the bottom line, we are equally essential living beings on this planet, and none of us received a superior value granted द्वारा any significant superior being या existence (unless one believes that God has stated this as fact), and thus really shouldn't think of ourselves this way.
I am not for wearing फर for at least a fashion statement, being negligent of जानवर under our care, hunting down endangered या threatened species, carelessly cutting down या exterminating wild habitats and thus taking away the homes of millions of creatures, and preserving wildlife and forestation for our fellow living creatures.
As for consuming animals...I am not completely opposed to this, seeing that it is part of our biology to consume other living things, plants and sometimes even humans (although I'd completely disagree with the latter there) included. We are all biologically connected to a खाना chain, where there's a level of species या groups of जानवर that feeds on the creatures of the level beneath them. We happen to be currently on चोटी, शीर्ष of that खाना chain....for now xD Let's hope it stays that way for a good number of years, shall we!! lol
So, yes. This is what I believe. :)

*But to add to my beliefs surrounding eating animals; I do believe that before preparing them as food, we should either not end their lives prematurely या at least kill them without immense pain या suffering. If we must end their lives earlier, we should make their deaths painless and less agonizing as highly possible.
Monkeys and other exotic जानवर should be left alone :(
Also I think there should be a much stricter policy about breeding domestic animals. Some पिल्लें are just dumped at the side of the road because they have the wrong color या something :/ poor पिल्लें ='(
