I preferred Carolyn Groves. Even though she wasn't in as many episodes as Betsy Durkin, I think she played Vicki in a similar way to Alexandra Moltke. Betsy's Viki was too screechy and hysterical.

I agree, sodapop429. Vicki was always more subdued in her reactions to things. She never got really shrieky no matter what happened. When Betsy Durkin was playing her, you couldn't really see much difference between Vicki and Maggie or Carolyn.

Carolyn Groves was my favorite after Miss Moltke. I thought she had great chemistry with Jonathan Frid in the 1796 flash-back. Bless her heart, Betsy Durkin did well, too, especially in the scene where Barnabas comes to her room, sits on her bed, and has a discussion with her. It was Miss Groves, however, who most captured the sweet naivety that was inherent within the Victoria Winters character.
