I was also with a cold two days ago, still recovering, yesterday I couldn't sleep at all but , so far, so good!

येशु wasn't born in December.

It is in the winter because क्रिस्मस is a very old tradition. It was known as Yule.
They used to celebrate क्रिस्मस to bring back the light in the dark short and cold day's.

It has nothing to do with येशु at all. It is a very old Germanic/Celtic tradition.
It has to be in the winter because then the day's are the shortest.

Haha I just recovered from the mother of all colds... at least it felt like it.
