“Before we leave I must warn you. We are now entering alien territory, so be careful and considerate to you’re new surroundings. One stupid mistake can get you, and everyone around आप killed.”
The safety instructor’s voice boomed across the large, air conditioned spaceship. It sounded oddly cheerful for someone who had just told them that they could all die.
Everyone tried to see where her line of vision was pointing towards. It was aimed toward the windows.
Kendra glanced through them and, and gulped. They were about four thousand feet above sea level, and the अंतरिक्ष craft had just started to pick up speed.
Her number one fear was heights, and now they were so high up, that she didn’t think they could go any higher. This information made her stomach churn. Making her feel a distinct unease, that would result in her throwing up all over the cushioned, leather seat. She didn’t see it as such a bad thing though, since the fact that she had to spend a दिन on this stupid trip made her feel queasy enough.
She really wished that she didn’t have to spend even an घंटा on this stupid expedition. While her फ्रेंड्स were traveling to the Bahamas, या Hawaii, she’ll be stuck spending it in the worst place she imagined.
She was stuck spending it in the huge, scary looking gas giant of a planet, Jupiter. If it had been up to her, she would have been with her फ्रेंड्स sunbathing in the sun, right now. But of course, her parents weren’t enthused with her idea, talking about how it was a ‘great honor,’ and a free advantage to learn something new, with all that baloney. Kendra just saw this trip as a stupid waste of time, and definitely a waste of money. They had spent all their life’s savings on a trip that lasted about a दिन या less. “It’s worth it”, her parents had said. She didn’t see how it was.
She really didn’t favor living out on the streets, scratching for food.
Anyone could tell आप that these trips were made for rich kids, and rich kids only. They were the ones who could afford to go on something like this, and still have millions of dollars left.
Her family was far from rich.
She would’ve been happier if she could have just stayed in her room, and sulk. At least then they wouldn’t be in danger of poverty.
“Is that right Miss Swanson?” It was the annoying instructor’s voice again. It snatched her away from her thoughts.
“Ah excuse me?” Kendra asked with fake politeness. This lady was starting to get on her nerves. The fact that she had to use her last name, which Kendra hated, didn’t help.
“Well it looks like someone wasn’t listening, while I was explaining. Was she?” She heard the lady say with a weird clicking sound. Kendra tried as hard as she could, not to turn roll her eyes, though it seemed like she hadn’t succeeded. If the glare that the lady gave her wasn’t an indication.
“Well am sure it would be okay if I could rephrase myself again, though I don’t think that I should have to. (Now she was a deep टमाटर color.) I was just asking आप a question, to see if आप were listening. I guess आप weren’t unfortunately, but I’ll ask आप anyway to see how much आप know about this trip.”
Kendra felt that if she blushed even more, her face would probably look like a human sized tomato. She really wish the instructor lady person, would shut up, but of course she didn’t. She just continued to ramble on with another question, that she had in store for her.
“I don’t suppose आप know the planet Jupiter’s origin may I ask?” She looked at Kendra in the way that कहा that she didn’t expect her to know at all, and that she would probably look like a moron. The fool would be her though, because Kendra really did know. या at least she thought she did. If the name was any thing to go by.
She thought back to those interesting Roman mythology courses she had took as high school credit a साल ago. If memory served her right, Jupiter had been the King of the gods. His name had actually been Jupiter Optimus Maximus. Her, and the rest of her class had watched an entire documentary on the dude, and everyone had fallen asleep two मिनटों into the slide show. Luckily she had dozed off after they had gotten to the whole name part, and the temple that was dedicated to him. She remembered that his name had literally meant, “the biggest and the greatest.” She had rolled her eyes at this. Out of all the 12 Olympian Gods, she had found him the lamest. Personally she had felt that Neptune had been the best.
“The name came from Roman mythology.” She said, trying to piece everything together. “Jupiter’s name means the biggest and the greatest. Someone had probably saw the planet high in the sky, and named it after the god. The planet is the biggest one in our solar system, so somebody might have made a similar connection. I’m going to guess and say that the person who discovered it was probably a Roman.” She finished lamely.
Everyone nodded their head, except the lady at the front of the अंतरिक्ष craft. She just scowled, and sneered.
“Yes, and which person actually discovered the planet, Miss Swanson?” She asked sweetly, and suspiciously innocent. She was smiling at Kendra, from across the room.
Kendra gulped again. She had got her there, and she clearly knew it. The only thing she knew about that stupid planet was the name, and that it was big. She had never paid much attention to the astronomy Unit in High School. To her and a bunch of other kids, it had seemed like a big waste of time.
She tried to rack her brains, searching for the answer. Surely she had studied it somewhere, even if she didn’t pay attention in school that. She thought of a way to stall for time. Even if she didn’t know, she wasn’t going to let this lady get the satisfaction she wanted. She didn’t know what the deal was with this woman, but she was really starting to get on her nerves.
“Um, may आप repeat the सवाल ma’am? I didn’t hear it right.” She told the woman.
This time she wasn’t even trying to hold back her scowl.
“Figures.” The 30 साल old lady muttered to herself. “Can anyone else answer this question?” She asked around. Kendra tried as hard as she could, not to glare. Instead she focused her attention around the room, searching the sea of students for any sign of knowledge. She wanted to pick out the braniac from the group, so she could immediately partner up with them. Better to have someone smart who knew all the answers, than to be stuck with the dumbest pin in the lock.
“Pick me professor! Pick me!” A short, stocky girl with शाहबलूत colored hair exclaimed. Her obvious enthusiasm made Kendra cringe. If this was the smartest kid, she would obviously have to lower her standards for partners. She would not get stuck with this girl if she could help it.
The lady nodded her head toward her.
“That’s a trick question, ma’am.” Her voice sounded hard, and vaguely western. The sound ached Kendra’s ears.
“The planet Jupiter has been one of the few planets that आप can see in the night sky, without an actual telescope. People have seen its bright amazing features all through time, so no one knows who has actually discovered it. All we know about the planet’s discovery is that Galileo was the one that discovered four of Jupiter’s biggest moons. That’s why they’re called the Galilean moons. Oh and द्वारा the way, Galileo wasn’t roman he was Mexican.”
“Moron get you’re facts straight. The dude was obviously Italian.” A high, prissy girl voice stated. Kendra turned around to see a girl with frilly, opaque गुलाबी clothing. She noted with distaste that she seemed to be covered from head to toe in ribbons. Her voice made Kendra wince, and cover her ears.
“Shut up Marie, आप know just as well as I do that, आप don’t know.” The girl with the western accent screeched.
“Yes I do know. I actually studied the vacation packets that arrived in my mailbox.” The girl named Marie then shoved something out of her back pack, which was also pink. She revealed a small गुलाबी brochure packet.
Emanating from the brochure was a stench of Vanilla Lace, द्वारा Victoria secret. The scent almost made Kendra gag. The perfume was way too strong.
What did the girl do? Dump the entire paper in perfume?
Kendra glanced around the अंतरिक्ष craft and noticed with pleasure, that everyone had the same reaction as her.
The girl to whom it belonged to seemed oblivious to everyone’s response of her envelope. She just kept babbling out बिना सोचे समझे facts that she had read from the brochure.
“Says it right here,” she stated. “Under fun facts and information it says, ‘No one knows who discovered this mysterious planet, but we do know that the astronomer Galileo discovered a few of its moons. Then it says sees the following website below for और information.’ Naturally I did.” The prissy girl then turned to smile at their tour guide.
“Good job Marie. At least one person did their research, like they were supposed to.” The annoying lady approved.
Marie blushed with pleasure, at the same time that Kendra rolled her eyes.
“Miss Swanson please keep you’re टिप्पणियाँ to yourself.” The tour guide suddenly shifted her gaze toward Kendra, a scowl evident on her face.
Kendra scowled back, about to say something that would surely get her sent back to planet Earth hopefully, when she felt a sudden lurch. The अंतरिक्ष craft suddenly shifted, and pushed downward, causing everyone inside to tumble आगे toward the front of the ship. No one was wearing a seatbelt, like the instructor कहा to, so everyone fell आगे on चोटी, शीर्ष of each other.
One particularly fat boy tumbled downward so much, that he accidently hit the aluminum metal that coated the अंतरिक्ष craft, making a huge glint on the surface. Kendra couldn’t believe that a normal human could be that chubby.
A siren suddenly erupted all around the अंतरिक्ष ship, and Kendra watched everyone struggle up from each other with glee. She was the only one smart enough to take precautions. She didn’t feel like dying on this trip.
“What do we do?!” The fat boy, who made the dent, exclaimed. His face was streaked between panic, and shock. He was breathing heavily, probably hyperventilating. It was pretty interesting to watch. The way his face seemed to be turning a darker funnier color, every second. Kendra predicted that द्वारा one मिनट he would be an odd shape of puce, and green.
“Stay calm!” The instructor yelled, while still clutching on to the chair that had prevented her from falling like everyone else.
“Do not panic!” She continued. Kendra thought it was a pretty stupid thing to say, especially since that the instructor seemed to be even और freaked out than the boy. And that was saying something.
“We could die Miss Nice!” The girl named Marie wailed, while quickly brushing over her गुलाबी dress. She was probably looking for some small form of microscopic error, which no one but her could see.
Thankfully the spaceship had leveled out again, and everyone was slowly getting up. Each muttering curses under their breath.
Kendra was really confused. Firstly at the fact that “Miss. Nice” was the instructor’s name. She had been thinking और on the lines of “Miss. Grouch”. That would have been a better name for her. It fitted her personality. Miss Nice seemed like the opposite of her.
She was also bewildered at what the girl had just. The possibility that they could all die. All that happened was that the spaceship had gone berserk for a few minutes, and that wasn’t a real emergency. It was natural for अंतरिक्ष technology to malfunction for a few minutes, ever since the Robots took over the अंतरिक्ष agency.
(That was what आप got when आप don’t bother to pay workers for a few years. The N.A.S.A agency should’ve known better to try and get away with the excuse of, “they can’t even spend it, why waste it?” Everyone had shaken their head at them.)
So what could possibly the problem? या was the girl so much of a drama queen, that she felt that anything that could ruin her perfect गुलाबी dress, was worth screaming for?
“We are NOT going to die!” Miss Nice yelled angrily, trying to place herself upright.
“I’ll fix it before the damage can get worse!” She started stalking angrily toward the area that the fat boy had crashed into. All the while shoving children off of her as she passed.
“We are going to die! Look at the gash, it’s huge. There’s no way that आप can fix that, except if आप have fifty workers and ten thousand dollars worth of repair money anyway!” The गुलाबी coated girl was practically shrilling at the चोटी, शीर्ष of her voice.
Kendra finally saw what everyone else saw. She could feel the terror that everyone felt growing inside of her, as she saw how big the gash really was. She couldn’t believe that she could have missed something that huge. It was at least five feet long, which compared to the length of the side, was at least ¼ of it.
The gash provided a gaping hole between their spacecraft, and the अंतरिक्ष outside.
“We have to fix that gash before we all die!” Kendra absently yelled. Her brain was going into over drive trying to figure out ways to fix the impossibly big hole, which could probably kill her.
“No of course were not trying to do just that. We’re just here plotting plans for a रात का खाना party!” The girl named Marie कहा sarcastically. She was now giving Kendra an icy glare, in which Kendra pointedly ignored.
“Will आप two shut up?! If आप don’t I’ll make sure आप guys die first!” Miss nice was screaming at the चोटी, शीर्ष of her lungs, now tearing through any unfortunate kids that hadn’t gotten up yet.
She had a sort of manic look in her eyes. They made Kendra want to double back या cower in terror.
From the look on Marie’s face, Kendra guessed that she had had the same reaction.
They immediately clammed up, and resulted to glaring at each other quietly. They each had taken a portable, emergency oxygen pack, to make sure that the lady couldn’t tell that they were still doing the same thing. Something about Miss Nice told them not to try and doubt her threat.
The disguise didn’t seem to work though, since the other kids were giving them strange looks from across the spacecraft. Thankfully the lady was too busy examining the gap, and cursing under her breath to notice.
They were so involved in their weird eye staring contest, that they didn’t hear the shriek of Miss Nice, या the cries of terror that came from the other kids.
They only realized what had happened until seven मिनटों too late, and द्वारा then they were the only ones left.
What had happened was that while they were glaring at each other, they had failed to notice that there was a fifty feet meteor that was aimed straight toward the अंतरिक्ष craft. Specifically toward the already huge gash.
The meteor had actually crashed into the अंतरिक्ष craft, and what had occurred was an explosion that took away half of the अंतरिक्ष craft, as well as the kids who were cowering on that half.
This was basically everyone except Kendra and Marie.
The explosion probably shook the whole galaxy, but the two girls had failed to notice. They also failed to hear the cries of help that the kids were yelling toward them. The cries of the safety instructor of course being the loudest of them all. They, especially Miss Nice had been hoping that the two girls would draw them in the other, strangely unharmed half of the अंतरिक्ष ship.
They really didn’t hear the scrape of the kid’s hands on the अंतरिक्ष craft’s metal, as the lucky ones were able to cling for their lives, shrieking with panic, then pain as they fell down too.
***************************************************************************************************************************
“OMG OMG!” Did आप see that?! Omg we are like so murders! Omg! All those innocent people and we didn’t notice! What is wrong with us?! What am I saying? What it is wrong with me. I’m not a killer I know am not. I mean sure I wanted people dead before, preferably that annoying safety guide, but still I wasn’t going to actually do it.” द्वारा this point Kendra just ignored Marie’s pointless ramblings. They were seriously starting to annoy her, but she just let her ramble on.
Somehow, maybe द्वारा sheer luck, the engine was still working. Kendra definitely wasn’t complaining though, knowing that if the engine wasn’t on, she and Marie would both be dead right now. Either द्वारा the lack of anything in space, या the freezing cold temperatures, that wasn’t freezing them yet. They were alive and that was good enough for Kendra. It was all she could think about now. She didn’t want to reconcile the fact that she and Marie had probably cost all those innocent kids their lives.
She knew that if she did, she would probably go into a state that was even worse than Marie’s.
The only problem was that the spacecraft was slowly loosing power. They were probably only going to last a little while, before they died like the rest. They needed a plan and to make one, the girl had to snap out of it. They really needed to figure things out, before it was too late.
All she knew was that the engine was still working, and that was the only thing keeping them alive.
She speculated the thought of just slapping her full on in the face, to snap some sense back into her, but then decided against it. The girl didn’t look weak. She decided to just let the गुलाबी girl ramble all the worry out of her, या until she couldn’t stand anymore of her ramblings anymore.
It didn’t take very long. In a few मिनटों Marie was rambling even more, and Kendra couldn’t take much more.
Without thinking about it, Kendra walked toward the end of the spacecraft, completely forgetting that the other half wasn’t there any longer. All she could about was getting away from Marie. She knew that if she didn’t get away from her, she would blow her top.
Even when she was falling down gradually she didn’t notice. Her thoughts were just of getting away. The fact that it was completely dark didn’t help either; it only put her into और of a dream like state.
She still was an allusion, not even feeling the prickling pain, as she slowly turned to ice.
None of this she took into account, until she felt something sharp and heavy rake her gas mask.
Her eyes finally opened, and what she saw made them open even wider.
She finally saw the dark, creepy world of space, and she finally realized that she was falling head first in it, द्वारा herself. It scared her even और that she couldn’t see where she was falling या for the matter, या where she even was.
This at first shocked her, and then annoyed her.
How stupid could she have been to not realize that she was sending herself to her death?
Then a sudden thought pricked her like a sharp knife. Marie had been in the अंतरिक्ष craft. Now she was all alone, still mumbling to herself. Kendra felt a stabbing pain that had nothing to do with the horrific cold she felt from space.
She realized then that she felt guilty and not just about leaving Marie alone. She felt guilty of being rude and sarcastic the entire trip, and most importantly she felt guilty about being the murderer of all those kids who wanted nothing और than to see the planet Jupiter. That thought made her feel a stabbing pain in her heart.
Too busy with drowning herself in her sorrows, she didn’t realize that she was falling toward something या और specifically, toward a planet. Somehow द्वारा luck या faith, she would end up in the place that she had been destined to go to in the first place. She was heading straight toward Jupiter. This was now her end, and she knew it. They’re was no way she could survive Jupiter, even if she had a अंतरिक्ष suit, and 20 oxygen masks.
As she fell
Jupiter felt slightly warmer than space, if only द्वारा a few Kelvin temperatures. The fact that she was using Kelvin temperatures told आप that it was still freezing. It was like choosing dry ice, instead of liquid nitrogen. She supposed it was because of the fact that Jupiter was far enough away from the sun, that it received little light.
Still as Kendra fell downward through planet, she immediately knew that she would have chosen अंतरिक्ष so much better. At least then she probably would have a chance of Marie realizing where she was, (even if अंतरिक्ष was ten times darker than pitch black) and hopefully saving her before she died of oxygen deprivation.
Here she knew she had no chance of Marie even getting a sense of where she was. This was of course because of the fact that Jupiter was so huge, and the atmosphere was so thick that no one could see through it. If she even bothered to look in Jupiter’s direction.
Soon she felt a dangerous blast of wind and turbulence all around her. She stopped falling and felt that she was being cushioned under blasts of air. She quickly remembered her discussion she had had with her 8th grades science teacher, a few years ago. They had been arguing about the fact that some scientists believed that Jupiter had a “soft spot”. The place where the gas turned into the liquid. Her science teacher had believed so, but Kendra hadn’t bought it. She had questioned her science teacher, until she had run away screaming from her classroom. Kendra had watched her run with grim satisfaction and amusing. She now wondered if her teacher had been right, and this was the place. But she realized it couldn’t be, this was another famous topic of Jupiter, and she knew it.
She saw how clouds of gas and atmosphere swirled so thickly and rapidly, all moving counterclockwise together.
It blared her eyes, and she couldn’t see anything. Though she knew exactly where she had ended up. She was right in the middle of one of Jupiter’s biggest attractions. The one that scientists had tried to study about the most yet knew still little about.
She was standing in the middle of a storm “The Great Red Spot”, to be और exact. The storm that scientists believed would rage forever.
This was the last place she wanted to be, even if it stopped the action of the nauseating falling that seemed to have been going on forever. That and the fact that the place was huge, three Earths put together to be और exact. She was extremely fascinated द्वारा how red it was also. She guessed it was because of the amount of methane and other gases that were thick around the planet.
Despite the dilemma she was in, she had to smirk. She needed to give herself और credit when it came to science. She really did know और than she took credit for. Especially with this planet. She guessed that if nothing had gone down hill, she might have had fun on the trip, maybe. She could have shown off that pesky safety guide how much she really did know. That would have wiped the smirk off her face.
As soon as he thought that she felt guilty. Another thing that could have wiped the smirk off of her face would have been dying.
She really was a murder.
Another pang in her heart.
Except that this stab felt real, and not physiological. Her breathing had become unsteady, and before she could think, she was sighing.
She knew exactly what was happening, and she took it with joy as she closed her eyes for the last time.
The safety instructor’s voice boomed across the large, air conditioned spaceship. It sounded oddly cheerful for someone who had just told them that they could all die.
Everyone tried to see where her line of vision was pointing towards. It was aimed toward the windows.

Bounce your head, snap
To the classic, to the rap
Step ball change
Basic with a buck
Pleay, tour jete
Bounce your head to the rock
One two three,
Two two three,
Count along with your head
Mosh with the beat
Hop shuffle hop back
Twirl your arms, bend your back
Do the thingamajiggie
Wear out your taps
Breathe it in, breathe it out
Reach for the sky, dance on the ground
Flitter here, gallop there
Lose yourself anywhere
Flow with the music
Feel it in your veins
As आप bounce your head, snap
Boom boom clap
As light fades the brightest of souls can even be turned to do the darkest of things. As time time pushes आगे the mind and body of an individual changes for either good या bad. the decisions they make and the things they do will stick with them forever. I was told this many years पूर्व द्वारा a wise old man that fortold my future. He कहा "the one with the dragon soul is not alone in the world he knows." After being told this it left me nothing but confused but i had a feeling that it wouldn't be the last time i heard of it.
