"Nice to meet you, Chloe, I'm Michael." The uneasy feeling in his stomach had manifested itself in his words. Chloe looked at Michael & again raised her eyebrow. The aura which she produced was one of indecipherable emotions that were running all too high. Another long silence ensued. Michael didn't know what to say to Chloe without sounding like an idiot. As Michael was coming back with his coffee, he tripped & before he knew it, the cup flew from his hand & exploded onto Chloe. Michael apologized repeatedly & offered to help her, but she refused. "Oh! Can my life get ANY worse?!" Chloe cried, toiling down the hall to the restroom. Michael sat back down, almost in a state of shock. He had just dumped coffee all over the girl of his dreams & could tell she was pissed off about it as well. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been so embarrassed. As Chloe made her way back to the table, Michael could feel his face burning with humiliation. He wanted to apologize again when he noticed Chloe's face was streaked with tears, figuring that she was as embarrassed as he was. Then he remembered what Chloe कहा before storming off.
