Marvel Cinematic Universe and it\'s time for our favourite heroes to choose a side, will they be \'Team Cap\' or \'Team Iron Man\'.
After countless aliens invasions, evil madmen, super spy insurgencies, monstrous rampages and robotic marauders causing countless damage and planetary mayhem, the governments around the globe decide its time to put these superpowered individuals on a tighter leash.
Marvel Comics limited series event, Civil War, by Mark Millar and Steven McNiven, and pits the Star Spangled Avenger against his old armoured teammate in a battle of ideologies, forcing their friends and allies to choose sides.
Captain America: Civil War certainly boasts more than enough Avengers and superheroes new and old, but as the story revolves around Chris Evans \'Steve Rogers\' personal connection to his old childhood best friend, the formerly brainwashed \'Winter Soldier\' (Sebastian Stan), and his shattered brotherly bond with \'Iron Man\' (Robert Downey, Jr.), we\'re promised it\'s still very much a Cap story.
\'United we stand. Divided we fall\' sounds like a great tagline and couldn\'t be more appropriate as the film also stars Daniel Brühl as the Master of Evil \'Baron Zemo\' and sees the return of Frank Grillo as \'Crossbones\', so we know there\'s some dastardly villains lurking to take advantage of the turbulent situation (or are they in fact manipulating the whole showdown?).
L.A. have exploded with a fantastic array of billboards for the upcoming superhero battle royale and in addition to standard, cut-out special extensions and giant-sized outdoor ads filling the city streets, Captain America: Civil War has also taken over the busy intersection of Venice and La Cienega Boulevards with these face-off style ads.
In total there are eight billboards in this location, on all four corners of the intersection, and the impactful presence sees some interesting face-to-face pairings.
Anthony Mackie\'s high-flying \'Falcon\' goes head-to-head with Chadwick Boseman\'s Wakandan king and protector, the \'Black Panther\', whilst comic book lovers Elizabeth Olsen\'s neophyte \'Scarlet Witch\' stares down Paul Bettany\'s logical synthezoid \'Vision\'.
Winter Soldier is up against Scarlett Johansson\'s \'Black Widow\' and Paul Rudd\'s \'Ant-Man\' (probably happy that he\'s been chosen to be on any side) faces-off against Don Cheadle\'s \'War Machine\'. It really is a star-studded affair (Daily Billboard hates to even think about the cost of all the cast).
Jeremy Renner\'s \'Hawkeye\' has seemingly come out of retirement to also come face-to-face with a de-masked \'T\'Challa\', bringing history\'s first black superhero to the big screen. The only hero notably absent from this selection is Tom Holland\'s web-slinging \'Spider-man\'.
Marvel\'s Civil War were first spied popping up all around the streets of L.A. on April 13, whilst this collection of eight billboards and the super-sized creative along West Hollywood\'s heavily trafficked Sunset Strip were photographed on April 19, 2016.
Marvel movies and characters, make sure you also check out all these original Captain America: Civil War movie movie costumes on display, including new looks for Cap, Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Ant-Man and the debut of Black Panther\'s film costume.
Comic book fans can also enjoy all these other
Marvel movie and TV show billboards, plus others from the distinguished competition, gracing the sprawling city skyline in recent years.
Someone once said the superhero movie trend was just a fad, but from the looks of things the bubble is far from ready to burst, and
Captain America 3 is projected to smash box office records once again.
Who will win? Who will fall? Whose side would you choose? And will they all kiss and make up after the big fight, or will things truly never be the same again?
