Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:

Here’s a fun detail for you: This week’s Audio Visuals post includes an Academy Award nominated actress, an alien,
character Grey Worm—and they’re all singing! OK, so we can’t prove that FKA Twigs is from another celestial plane, but we’re
convinced at this point. But it just goes to show that musical talent can hide in the most unexpected places, and so can
Outside the primary list, Galantis gets an honorable mention nod for their kooky
“Peanut Butter Jelly” video, and we also have a “Do you!” shout-out for Willow Smith. “Wit a Indigo” has the Hollywood princess rapping about good vibe generators and “inter-mensional space” against an inverted color palette and being generally too hip for everyone. Give her a look-see!
Lana Del Rey makes some sad ass music. Like, deeply hopeless sounding anthems of resignation and detachment. Is this what nihilism
like? And commensurate with her sonic signature, Del Rey’s videos are usually ruminations on light and mood and aloof gazes into the middle distance. So it’s nice to see her taking some bold action in this one. The guy in that chopper never saw it coming.
Follow the directions at the start of this video and do watch it on your phone, because what sounds like more fun than feeling like you’re spying on someone’s text message breakup? Ouch!
So the young Steinfeld (who is legally an adult!) pulled off a funny trick with this video. She’s singing the words to her self-pleasure empowerment anthem with a visual that hews to a more vanilla celebration of individual beauty. The dancing masses say “I love me!” while the singing Steinfeld is quite literally screaming from the rooftops about bringing herself to orgasm any damn time she pleases. It’s girl power. It’s everyone power. It’s a video for parents and with lyrics for liberated millennials. Shrewd move, Hailee. Snaps for you.
“How Deep Is Your Love”—Calvin Harris & Disciples
In which au courant ultra-model Gigi Hadid wakes up
the hottest woman on Earth?!” The answer, Gigi, is yes. Also, get this girl a VMA for “Best Hair Touching In a Music Video” STAT.
Who doesn’t love a good one-take? Gabrielle Aplin brings 100 drum kits to a warehouse and the results are a surprising amount of neon and fun!
Guys. Did you know Grey Worm is a singer-songwriter?! His name is Jacob Anderson, but apparently he’s been known by his stage name, Raleigh Ritchie, for a few years now back in the UK. And he’s not half bad! Ritchie isn’t handling what seems to be a breakup super well in this video, but it looks like this is only Part 1, so let’s buckle in for the narrative.
We first hit you with some Little Simz back in February when she showed us that she only needs a camera and her own moxy to make a compelling music video. Much the same proves true here, except she throws in some mysticism and desert vibes this time, because Little Simz is a little bit strange in a really satisfying way. We’re into it.
So we are major suckers for videos with animal protagonists here at the roundup, and this solo traveling white German shepherd on a mission to find his pack was just too sweet not to include. He doesn’t have to be alone!
Twigs goes in the bonus category this week because she directed a whole damn short film comprising her songs “Figure 8,” I’m Your Doll,” “In Time,” “Mothercreep,” and “Glass & Patron.” Those last two tracks already have videos, but hell, when you’re the otherwordly creature that is FKA Twigs you package your art however the hell you want, and you also recruit fashion muse and living performance piece Michéle Lamy to basically play a deep sea fish for you. You also cast yourself as a sex doll. If it were anyone but Twigs (or Björk) we’d be surprised. The guy’s face when a bunch of paint starts spilling from her womb is pretty on point. And that wasn’t a spoiler. It was just a tease.
