If Kikyo were alive, who would've इनुयाशा chosen? I प्यार inu-kag, but Kikyo favourers are welcomed.

If Kikyo had survived Naraku’s assault and lived and Kagome had remained, I think it would still be a tossup. Personally I don’t think much would change, only Naraku would be gone and so would the jewel, so things would be और peaceful but that would still leave the issue between Kikyo and Kagome. It certainly wouldn’t be a smooth ride for Inuyasha.

Now when considering the three years Kagome spent at home, applying Kikyo to that time span I think इनुयाशा would end up spending a great deal of time with her. That and running back to check on the well for any sign of Kagome. He would be with Kikyo, but his दिल would still be open for the possibility that Kagome’s familiar and very much longed for face would appear and make his day. He would be wondering and worrying constantly about it and I think that would be a little hard for Kikyo, but I’m sure she would understand. About Kikyo however, in a case like that, personally I don’t believe she would stick around, not for very long anyway. She knows she’s of the deceased and that her mission was a success and her death was avenged. I can just see her moving aside so the living could proceed and have their life together. I believe she would release the dead souls from her body, tell इनुयाशा thank you, have their parting moment and leave. It wouldn’t make sense for Kikyo to remain with इनुयाशा once all was accomplished, done and over, that is unless she could be miraculously brought back to life for real and was no longer one of the undead.

Kikyo is a ghost and belongs in the past and no matter how much the thought of इनुयाशा and Kikyo being together appeals to me it wasn’t meant to be. Being a person that is entirely and utterly opposed to human and demon intimate relations, half demon included, it is odd for me to actually favor the thought of इनुयाशा being with either of them. Personally I rather see him run of with some cute young demon girl, and maybe he will once Kagome dies and he gets over the grief. But all that aside, in the end I still believe it would come down to Kagome. Kikyo would depart and Kagome would be there, that’s the best way the story could end.

My answer doesn't come close compared to Sesshywind when it comes to detail, but basically, from the start to the end of the story, Kikyo and InuYasha were never meant to be. Even if she lived, I can't see her separating Kagome and InuYasha, even though Kagome did go back to the modern world for three years. I can see Kikyo going on adventures to slay demons and help children if she lived on... but although she may try, there would be no way for her to be with InuYasha... unless kagome ends up with Sesshomaru as so many प्रशंसकों (not me, definitely not me) seems to want.
