Electric SMART car enters production 

I drove a Smart last year in Nice and was favorably impressed. It'll be interesting to see how the all-electric version drives.

Yeah it's a shame they didn't throw in a more powerful motor as it would be a great marketing point if it had better stats all the way around compared to the gas guzzling (sipping) engine. I wonder if a more powerful electric motor reduces efficiency at the same speed/acceleration rate compared to a weaker motor? I know that usually holds true for gas motors.
