Oh, god, what have I done?! I've created monsters!! I promise I'll be working on Gotham's Royals, and my promised one-shots, but I just.. I had to do this. I really, really had to~~
Fang strode into the cave, drenched wet from the storm outside, just as the computer shut down, along with the zetas. “Great,” he groaned. “Anyone else here?”
“We are,” Hayden and Eric seemed to chorus. Then they glared daggers at each other, but instantly Eric started laughing. Hayden rolled his eyes, annoyed.
“Just us, then?” Fang questioned, shrugging off his jacket. “I swear, और people would be here.”
“Nah,” Hayden explained. “They’re all on a mission, या out confronting their ‘nemesis.’ Personally, I find that overrated.”
“Do आप have one?”
“...No?”
“Then आप would find it overrated,” Eric explained, heading towards the kitchen. Hayden followed, muttering something about a ‘perfect match.’
They went to the main room and sat on the couch, Eric reaching for the remote, but he never got to it. A clash from down the hall alerted them and they all stood up, on the defense. Fang narrowed his eyes, then led the way towards the noise. They stopped in front of Fin’s door.
“I thought आप कहा it was just us here,” Fang whispered harshly, glancing back towards Hayden.
“We are. No one’s seen Fin in days, her room should be completely empty.” Fang’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion, then slowly slid the door open.
Stepping inside, he lowered his defensive stance. “What the heck? There’s no one--”
He stopped as he glanced towards the corner, where a small girl was wide-eyed and seemed to attempt to merge into the wall. Her irises were a turquoise green and she had dark brown hair that was went down to her shoulders in wisps. Fang approached her slowly, and as he came closer she only pressed herself against the wall. “No, no...” she whispered.
“Hey,” he muttered, crouching down to her level. “It’s alright. I’m not gonna hurt you.”
She smiled slightly, but the smile dropped in an instant and her eyes widened even और dramatically. Fang whipped around, shocked to find another toddler on the bed, jumping up and down. She had black hair that went down to her upper back, and bright, mischievous blue eyes.
“Where are they coming from?” Hayden muttered, and the first girl, who was about five, dashed over to him and hugged his leg. He glanced down and picked her up in his arms, watching her curiously. “Reminds me of someone...”
Fang got up from his position and reached over to the girl jumping on the bed, desperately trying to stop her. He didn’t know who’s kid this was, but there was no way he was letting her get hurt. “C’mon down now!” he tried, reaching out, but she only laughed and jumped off onto his shoulders. “Um.. okay,” he muttered, glancing at her. She was about three या four, and had decided to tug on his hair. “That hurts! Jesus, who are these two-- oh no. No way.”
Eric had seemed to find another one, the same age as the girl with the black hair. She had black hair as well, but it was longer, going down to about her waistline, and it covered part of her face. She had the same sapphire eyes as the सेकंड girl, but there were detectable traces of other रंग that made them all the और different. She, too, seemed daring and impulsive, as she was biting Eric’s arm. The teen was only chuckling though, but nervously. “I know these kids! I mean, not actually know them but, I feel like I do...”
“Yeah, me too,” Fang growled out, but the child on his shoulders only laughed and tugged his hair more. “Ouch. God, आप remind me so much of.. Oh hell no.”
“What?” Hayden asked, glancing over. The girl he’d been holding had somehow managed to climb onto his back, and was resting her head on his shoulder.
“This one,” Fang hissed, gesturing towards the pain who was now shouting, “reminds me of Delta.”
Hayden blinked, and tried to look back at the girl piggybacking. “Yeah, this one is kind of like.. Aisling.”
“Didn’t Fin, Ash and Del all go on a mission together?” Eric asked as he took the toddler off his arm and instead carried her like a normal child. She stuck her pointer finger in her mouth and began to gnaw on it, watching the three teenage boys carefully.
“Oh, no,” Fang said, now a little worried. Not like he’d say that out loud.
“Yup!” कहा the girl on his shoulders.
“You’re doomed,” mumbled the girl in Eric’s arms around her finger, an evil grin spreading across her face.
