I remember visiting this website once...
It was called A lass unparalleled
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Dedicated exclusively to Vivien Leigh. Mostly my stuff and other posts I like.
During the filming of Gone with the Wind, Vivien Leigh was in make-up at seven in the morning and often stayed until midnight. Ann Rutherford, who played Scarlett’s sister Carreen, said of Leigh’s dedication: “She burned herself, she was such a hard worker. We watched her lose weight. In a break she’d take her costume off and the wardrobe girls would put more seams in what once had been a tightly fitted dress.”

Remembering Vivien Leigh on the anniversary on her death. If heaven exists, I hope that Vivien is in a beautiful garden with an endless supply of flowers to gather and arrange–and surrounded by cats. In the words of John Gielgud, “She will not be forgotten–for her magic quality was unique.”
Vivien’s beautiful smile is how I will always remember her. Vivien means so much to me; I am inspired by her every day, and even just seeing her picture makes me feel comforted. I hope Vivien knows how much she means to me, as well as to so many others still today.
Here is one of my new favorite quotes about Vivien -
“She always made you feel that you were the most important person in her life. Apart from her great physical beauty, she was the kindest of friends with the most beautiful manners. You don’t get that in the theatre today. You didn’t get it then.” - Sally Ann Howes
The last time I saw her (my wife and I called on her when she lay ill in bed) was only a few days before she died. Looking very pale, and clearly very ill, she sat up carefully and expertly arranging flowers in vase after vase. She carried on a bright and amusing conversation, talking of her plans and her impatience with what she insisted was a temporary setback. Willful as always, she mockingly and flagrantly disobeyed her doctor’s orders about smoking, leaving her bed, talking too much and tiring herself. Yet were she to have surrendered meekly in order to improve her chances, she would not have been her true self. Her beauty never left her - nor did her humour. Only her life.
