‘Vampire Diaries’ Preview: A Nearly Naked Valerie Surprises Stefan & Caroline — Watch

When your boyfriend’s ex walks in the room in only a towel, you have the right to give major side-eye. That’s exactly what Caroline (Candice King) does to Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) on the Nov. 12 episode of

. After the tense moment, Caroline demands an explanation from Stefan (Paul Wesley).

Stefan and Caroline are just sitting together, having a moment, when Valerie walks up to them soaking wet and wearing only a towel. She just has to let Stefan know she used the last of the shampoo.

Stefan goes on to explain to Caroline that Valerie only stayed at the house for one night. Valerie continues to twist the knife in Caroline by saying she has to go put some clothes on. Val, watch yourself. Stefan says that Valerie needs protecting because of Lily’s plan to resurrect Julian, even though she’s already done that.

Caroline doesn’t think any of this Julian/Valerie drama is her problem. But Stefan admits that once Julian finds out that Valerie tried to kill him, he’s going to be out for blood. And since Valerie was Stefan’s baby mama once upon a time, he has a soft spot for her. Stefan insists that Caroline needs to trust him, but is she going to get her heart broken because of it?

Valerie dropped a bombshell on Stefan that she had been pregnant with his child when they were together. This could be the very thing that breaks Stefan and Caroline up, since they aren’t together in the flash-forward.
