I wouldn't do an Erik/Christine sequel. In my humble opinion, they had their chance and they blew it. Of course, आप would have to do a sequel with Erik, Christine and Raoul, but आप know - not melodramatic and cheesy like LND was. Why not have Erik in trouble with (and what an irony!) Christine and Raoul who have to save him?

I agree completely, I think LND should never have been written and was just a big piece of crap. This is an interesting concept for a sequel, though.
