if आप could create your own high school what classes would आप want all students to take?

Math and Sciences. Science classes would be quite fun - with demos at least once a week.

Everything that is required? I don't understand the point of this question.

If it was for me to go to and learn then just English, Art, Music, Drama, Photography, Spanish, Archery and Gym (not as in PE but as in using actual running machines etc.)
That would be cool and enjoyable. It would make me actually have wanted to go if these things weren't interrupted द्वारा Maths and PE - ugh!

Generally, a High School that would have been able to provide each of its Students the best opportunities possible. Much और variety but at the same time a simplicity in Teaching. That means दिखा रहा है और care on the fundamentals and then proceeding to और advanced material which of course would come from the Student's guidance and own choosing.

When it comes to what I would like to attend, then my प्रिय Classes would consist of History, Biology, Philosophy, Art, Physical Education as well as Religious Education. Of course, told not just द्वारा one perspective but from practical points of view !!!!

Science science science. For fuck's sake. Including how to think critically about things and how to interpret studies. People literally have no idea and get conned द्वारा the stupidest things. Anti-vax bullshit. "Detox" products. The myriad of expensive yet useless supplements on the सुपरमार्केट shelves.

English, compulsory to साल 12 like it currently is. आप don't like it? Too bad, mate. Written and verbal communication affects all other academic areas and all parts of your life.

Maths.

Better geography. Again, for fuck's sake. I've met so many people that are like "I never knew 'X' was a country" and I'm like WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR EDUCATION SYSTEM. Especially Americans, ffs step it up peeps.

"Geography" can also include history as part of a generic "social studies" class. It should also include geopolitics because people don't know shit about it when they really should.

On that note, civics. How the court system works, how government works, what actually is our political system. Like, this is a necessity in a country where people choose the leaders. And yet people know shit-all. Absolutely infuriating. Might prevent populist authoritarians getting elected, too.

Somewhere in there, students should learn about different religions. Like religious education, but all of em.

Sport but there should be और than just ball sports ffs I hate ball sports.

Art. At least in early high school. Electives like drama, too.

A language. How I hate it when people say "students should learn better English before we go teaching them another language, it's so much और important!!". Learning another language helps with your own native language, आप idiots. And inter-cultural understanding is important.

No "business administration" या shit like that. People always advocate for और focus on "workplace skills" and less acadaemia but I disagree strongly. Education isn't just about producing people fit for the workplace... it's much more. It's about producing good citizens, critically- and flexibly- minded people, and ultimately having an an educated/non-ignorant populace. All of which learning academic subjects has been shown to improve.

Math. And we're just gonna get all the best teachers. Everyone can do math, but teachers make या break math. Shitty teachers can't cut it. We're gonna make sure everyone knows this is the best subject.

Science. People need to learn how to world works and to think for themselves. I've seen enough shitposts to know how idiotic people can be.

Logic. Same as above.

Language. Although, tbh, I don't think school is really the best place to learn a new language if you're already in high school and above. Its not that adults या teenagers can't learn a new language easily, its just language is something that आप need to learn at घर too. Its something आप need to live and be consistent. So, as long as we develop that skill and make sure students keep learning the language and don't stop after class, then yeah, we'll offer it.

How about instead we just throw out the entire United States education system and replace it with something significantly less shitty?

If I were to create my own high school, I'd focus और on how things were being taught than the actual subjects. I think I'd keep the required classes mostly the same. History, science, art, math, geography are all important.


I'd add like a "Practical Life Stuff That आप Should Probably Know" class, though. Something that taught really basic things like changing flat tires, changing oil, personal finance, establishing good credit, basic nutrition, actual sexual education because that's severely lacking in the US, etc etc. Just really basic things that everyone needs to know.
I wouldn't put a huge emphasis on it because I don't think it needs that, but we may as well learn some basic life things while we're all in the same place.

Other than just overhauling the way things are taught and funded and treated in general, I'd keep the core subjects mostly the same.
