Safety या Privacy? Why?

As in which is और important to you. High levels of safety and low levels of privacy या high levels of privacy and low levels of safety.

And I guess आप can, but try to not take the neutral ground. This is the "If आप had to choose one" kind of thing.

(XD I was asked this in English as a journal topic and figured it would be an interesting सवाल to ask here.)

If I had to pick, I would say privacy.

However, I would argue that the two go hand and hand. How can आप say आप are सुरक्षित if आप can't even be सुरक्षित from the prying eyes of those who may seek to control your decisions?

Let me give an example,
During the gilded age in the United States, it was not an unheard of practice for a large company to intimidate their workers to vote for certain local politicians. They were able to do this because they could gain access to the information on who voted for who. Later, local governments had to start passing laws that made voting records completely secret, only those who count the वोट्स had access to that information. Companies could no longer intimidate their workers into voting one way या another.

The सवाल is bad, and it misses the real issue that the people of the world really face. When people ask the सवाल of safety versus privacy, they're usually asking a pointed सवाल of do आप approve of the NSA.
The NSA does not provide any safety, and it does a good job of violating privacy. It does however infringe on freedom, all for the possibility of maybe catching a terrorist's twitter account once in a while, so the सवाल is that of safety या freedom.
It does us no good to avoid the real question.

Try Not To Take The Neutral Ground ? But NEUTRALITY IS JUSTICE. It's My Thing, What I Bring To The Party.
Both Have Their Consequences But If I Had To Choose One It Will Probably Be Privacy. There Are Some Things That Are Better Left Unknown !!!!
