बिना सोचे समझे सवाल

Should I base my story in a real-life place या just make a really, really बिना सोचे समझे adress up? (again, read विवरण before answering)

I'm लेखन a fictional teen story, and wondering where the hell it should be set. I'm British but want to set my story in the USA; somewhere like North Carolina. I'm worried that if I make up a town it'd be silly, because I want my story to be realistic and believable. I'm not sure what to do with this...

आप should write about a town that already exists if आप want to be realistic. This means a lot of research. आप need to know everything, even if everything won't be used in the novel.
