Yes. I attended both. I actually hated the public school so much that when I was 14 I asked my parents to put me in a private school. At the public school I was teased, tortured in fact, and pressued to do things I did not want to do. A kid at the same school was sexually harrassed and also asked his parents to take him out of the public school and be put in the same private school as me. Both of us felt so much safer at the private school. The teachers and students there were very nice and helpful. We got individual attention when we needed help and we also got privacy if we wanted. We had और choices and freedom but within certain guidelines that kept students from harming each other in anyway. Both of us had serious depression but I swear this private school and the great, well-behaved फ्रेंड्स and staff saved our lives. We are both doing extremely well now, while many of our old classmates are struggling. I thank God for the wonderful education I got at the private school and the rock solid friendships created there. I wish I had attended the private school my whole life and I will definetly send my own children there.

I actually believe that public schools are better, unless आप live in a really bad area for them. Here's why:

Programs in private schools tend to be और limited

Private school students tend to not be as nice because they go to a private school

आप have to pay to go there, and at many public schools, आप get just as good an education

A lot of them are small and tend to only offer one level of courses, unlike public schools that offer AP courses, GT, and so many others

OF course, some areas, ie New York City, have really bad public schools and there's a necessity for magnet and private schools, but in many areas, this is not the case.

No.
Sure all the people hate public schools, but that's just life.
If आप go to private school(at home?) the only ideas and opinions आप get to hear about school are your parents'. If you're in public school आप get to hear what your fellow students think about it and how they deal with it. Also in public schools आप learn how to do a project in a group.

I think public schools prepare आप for real life way better than private schools. But that's just my own opinion.

EDIT: Okay I just read that private schools are different from public schools :P

But I think that public schools have और "kinds" of people than private schools. Like private schools only have really, really rich students 'cos आप have to pay for it. Public schools really are what life's gonna be like when आप grow up.

I agree. I also think private school kids tend to be stuck up. Public school teaches आप how to deal with tough situations that आप may eventually encounter in the real world

Well it really depends on schools , for example in my country I am in a public school and it's working out fine.
My leading teacher (I mean the teacher who has us as class ,if आप have like this as well आप understand , she is our English teacher , but we are her class , even if we have different teachers at every subject)is a very open person , we can talk anything with her , we just ask her to talk to her in privacy and she listens to us and gives us सलाह (she has 2 girls in college , so she knows how we feel usually) , she takes us out together and most important she understands us.
The school itself is great and so are the other pupils.
Again it depends from school to school , not necessary if it's public या private.

We have something similar in the US, called Homeroom teachers. It works differently in every school here.

No. (sorry its long, but this is a topic i प्यार to rant about)

Before I went to a private school, i thought they seemed perfect, from the outside no bullying, no plastics and no idiots. everyone was just there to get super-amazing grades and have luxuries.

But, when I actually went to one, it was a whole nother story. It costs £30,000 a year, and i rwouldnt mind but it was shat. It was a small school with around 250 students in just TWO buildings the size of an average house, so it was extremely cramped. the playground was the size of someones garden, so imagine having 250 people in just a square of concrete- recess sucked. when i was at public school i had acres of fields, woods, alleys and picnic areas to hang out in.

The main problem was that the principle who also owned th e school was OBSESSED with money. आप barely get anything for your $30,000 a year, before my parents complained we were only doing about 4 subjects.
Because the principle is obsessed with money, there are constantly और and और students getting stuffed into the school to make as much money as she can, and the worst part is that she won't get rid of the bullies, because she would lose the money for their place. isnt that awful, so we have to put up with the gangs of bullies because they all turn a blind eye to it.

It works like this: say there are 8 bullies bullying 2 students, the principle would rather that the 2 victims left and she लॉस्ट the money for only 2 instead of having to get rid of 8. so we have to put up with hell because its all hushed up. my dad is a lawyer so if there was anyone bullying me at my old public school he'd get him team of lawyers in, go to the council and get the bitches kicked out of school. but this private school, there isnt much he can do since the council have nothing to do with it and the controlling principle calls the shots.

private schools suck. i just liked being a normal teenager. the private school i'm at now is like what would happen if आप sent teenagers to elementary school and forced them to behave like elemetary school kids. -_-

Having a lawyer for a dad sounded badass! Wow. I had no idea. I actually sort of want to go back to public school now.
