The Gambler is yet another movie taking the big risk of opening on an already cluttered Christmas Day, rolling the dice against the likes of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Into the Woods, Big Eyes, Unbroken and The Interview, to name but a few films vying for your festive viewing pleasure.

In this remake of the 1974 film of the same name,

James Caan and stars as a literature college professor with a secret high-stakes gambling habit who runs afoul of gangsters, loan sharks (played by an F-Bomb dropping John Goodman) and their heavies, whilst pursing an affair with one of his young students.

\'The only way out is all in\' teaser billboard for this movie remake was snapped along Santa Monica Boulevard at Westwood Boulevard on November 21 and later along Highland Avenue on November 29, whilst the ad version with equal billing for Wahlberg and Goodman was snapped at the intersection of Melrose Avenue and Highland Avenue on December 9, 2014.
