Lucy Hale wears pimple cream in public and owns it 

stars. Celebrities will go to any length to banish a blemish — cortisone injections, ten layers of foundation, wearing a masquerade mask to an event — and that’s up to and including heading outside with a face full of zit cream. Lucy Hale is just the latest celeb to embrace her zits in public.

star recently showed off her time-tested acne-fighting technique — a glob of zit cream slathered on the affected area of her face — during a recent outing in L.A., and then poked fun of herself for it on Instagram Wednesday afternoon.

“When you’re caught with zit cream and a really chic outfit,” she quipped.

Oh, and about that “chic” outfit? Hale celebrated her day off in a cozy pair of sweats, a loose camo-printed tee and sandals. She accessorized the athleisure look with her adorable pup, Elvis (now an Instagram star in his own right).

Hale isn’t the only star to zit-zap for public consumption. Miley Cyrus, who is a big advocate for pimple cream (just take a quick scroll through her Instafeed to see for yourself), has shared a ton of snaps of her at-home, acne-fighting remedies (which sometimes includes toothpaste plastered on her face) on social media for fans to see.

Even Mindy Kaling has bravely bared her blemishes on Instagram. Last year, she tried to quickly banish last-minute imperfections before making a TV appearance.
