On March 24, IU‘s agency, EDAM Entertainment updated their official Twitter account with an announcement regarding legal action against malicious comments.

They announced that the perpetrators would be receiving punishment for their acts without any leniency. “Based off the complaint filed in October 2019, the perpetrators violated लेख 311 of the Criminal Act and received the punishment for less than one साल of prison या a fine not exceeding 200 million won. The other perpetrators will also be facing punishment.”
