As you know, YG Entertainment is pretty notorious for delays and not living up promised time periods of comebacks or debuts. With fans growing impatient, the agency\'s main head figure, Yang Hyun Suk, was contacted for an answer on what is taking so long.

OSEN, Yang Hyun Suk talked about upcoming group iKON and rookie group WINNER.

He said, "When will WINNER make their comeback and when will iKON debut? That\'s not for me to decide. We will reveal their songs the moment they make songs that anyone would like and be happy to hear. So far there haven\'t been any songs that satisfy me nor themselves."

He referenced Big Bang as he said, "Think about when Big Bang was first born. Not too long ago,

G-Dragon talked about his trainee days on a variety show, about how he wrote songs for me as if he was turning in homework every day. If a singer wants to be in front of the public and sing songs, they need enough preparation before they debut. The lifespan of a singing career cannot help but be short if you half-heartedly keep releasing songs. That\'s why even now, it takes Big Bang so much labor pain every time they try to release a new album."

Yang Hyun Suk added, "WINNER and iKON are both working really hard right now. During the past few months, they have given me over 50 songs. I returned all of them back to them. They\'re still lacking that 2%. They know that too. By overcoming this process, they become bigger and grow. They\'re very sorry to their waiting fans but I can confidently say that the announcement is not too far away. When WINNER make their comeback and iKON make their debut, the outcome will be worth the wait."

It seems we may have to be a little more patient for WINNER\'s comeback and iKON\'s debut, but like Papa YG says, we know it\'ll all be worth the wait!

idk but is he suggesting that Ikon debut will be same time as winner comeback? is he going for a team kill? does he wants their fan to fight again?

God! i love YG as a company but sometimes i really want to punch this guy in the face!

At the end of this continuous waiting, we receive the best albums, performances and concepts from the artists under YG. 

I\'m happier when he says that he can\'t give a date for a release, debut, whatever, than when he talks about "autumn this year," or "spring next year," to be honest. I feel it\'s a little.. hm, let\'s say, "bad" to give people hope and constantly not manage to back those promises up. 

I\'m all for quality over quantity, and I\'m patient when it\'s "announcements" like this one, where he says he can see something happening and not tooooo far away, but he can\'t say when because the results aren\'t good enough yet. 

I think most fans agree with that. We all want artists to be happy with what they\'re producing, and to stand on the stage with the pride of having managed to write the best possible song they could have at that level of their career and so forth. And if that takes longer, well, okay. We\'ll wait longer. But don\'t just randomly spew out dates. Because you get our hopes up, and then you crush them. The first few times, maybe even years, I was able to laugh it up and call YG a troll, but I guess I\'ve reached my limit. 

Hoping the next announcements in those regards will be similar to this one, \'cause at this point, I don\'t really trust YG at all in that regard. /sigh

I just hope they debut this year :(

I waiting for IKON specifically and I also want them to debut soon but come on. If they aren\'t ready then they just aren\'t. As we can see Ikon is especially talented guys and remind me so much of Big Bang. IKON is going to be the reliever for Big Bang to have some rest and do their army Duties.. Wait on it guys mr. yang got us covered.

YG just wants hit songs and songs that will definitely win awards.. it\'s all about money and maintaining as a top label.

You know, I want ikon to debut really badly but if their songs and concept are sh*t then we would have waited for nothing. That goes for Winner as well. Boys, you can do it! Keep writing, fighting!!!

I understand his point, but this is just... how to say this? lose of precious time... BB is making this huge comeback because - and I\'m sorry to say this - but is the reality, they need to serve in the army, especially TOP who\'s the oldest. But they already have lots of fans so it\'s not a big deal. With rookies, that\'s another story. Yes, they are known, but not for the large public, just teenagers, young adults and intl kpop fans. If they wait for the perfect song/s... how about the other artists? like Lee Hi, for example. It\'s been almost 3 years since her last comeback. When is she going to comeback when iKON needs to debut, WINNER needs to comeback and probably 2NE1 too? This is why Gummy didn\'t resign her contract... because it took too long for her album to come out.

but i don\'t think other group that often has comeback lack quality in terms of the music...i mean their song are catchy too..

Yea but they don\'t make their own songs. Most groups have songs made for them, while YG artists have to write compose and arrange a song and if it\'s not as good as the "professionally made" songs, they start over

@chiathedoll if they are rookie its fair if a seasoned composer help them in the beginning, alot of groups star that way but develop skills over time then they take over

basically every single day i search nd google bout ikon news to know if they\'re going to debut this month as he promised,,nd as soon as i read the title of this article i immediately clicked on it hoping he reveal the time and the date for ikon\'s debut , BUT INSTEAD OF THIS HE KEEPS DELAYING ITTT IM REALLY SICK ND TIRED OF WAITIN I WANT IKON ADYYY 나 어쩌지 ㅠ.ㅠ

Id rather wait for good music than listen t crappy songs that even my Ikon or Winner dont feel proud to perform.
