FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki Doesn’t Want to Talk about CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa

Lee Hong Ki wants to avoid talking about CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa on camera.

On the episode of “Radio Star” that aired on April 1, Lee Hong Ki  receives a question about Jung Yong Hwa, who is in the same company as him.

As the MCs keep comparing him with Jung Yong Hwa, he finally says, “I don’t think I should answer questions related to him. If I do, then people keep talking about us two.”

When the MCs bring up how Jung Yong Hwa guest-starred on “Radio Star” in the past and did an impersonation of Lee Hong Ki, he explains, “He’s doing so because he wants to,” and adds, “CNBLUE has an image created by our company that could be damaged, but since we [FTISLAND] don’t have an image that the company made for us, everything I say gets aired,” making everyone laugh on set.

Other guest stars on this “honest star” episode of “Radio Star” included: Lee Hyun Da, Kim Poong, and Jo PD.

Well said Hongki. fti and cnb members are clearly sick of being asked about each other just for the sake of gossip and heat, why can\'t MCs just move on from their "rivalry" (which is far more friendly than everyone tries to make it out to be) and focus on their own promotions?

I am very disappointed in Primadonnas and Boices these days however. They are so rude to each other, always attacking the other band/fandom and never willing to sympathise with one another. In particular, Yonghwa tried to stop his CEO from trash-talking fti yet Pris still act like he\'s the enemy who disrespects fti, and Hongki also avoided the topic of Yonghwa/cnb out of respect yet Boices act like he was trying to bring cnb down. The delusion from both sides is high - I have lost a lot of respect for both fandoms.

I wish interviewers would stop asking him about CNBLUE. They\'re always trying to make their existence into a rivalry as if FTI are bitter towards them. I think asking an idol on air about another band is bad form because whatever they say it\'s going to cause a ripple affect and stir up gossip the idols don\'t need. I think questions like this are just bait so reporters can have something to publish. So bravo to Lee Hongki for being blunt about it.
