Recently फैन्पॉप introduced a new feature to our प्रोफ़ाइल pages:

The Showcase!

Eventhough it’s not a very complicated feature, there seem to be quite a few सवालों surrounding the caps. This gave me the idea of लेखन this article, answering the most aksed questions. Let me first say that everything I write is based on how I think this new feature works. I’m not one of the fabulous F4, so please correct me if I’m wrong about something.

1. What is the Showcase?
This सवाल was answerd द्वारा F4 Dave: “The new showcase is for your फैन्पॉप bottlecap collection that will continue to grow with new and exciting कैप्स based on your participation and activity across the site.” In other words, the Showcase is the place on your प्रोफ़ाइल page where all your कैप्स are presented.

2. What are Caps?
कैप्स are rewards that can be earned in different ways (that I’ll explain later). Consider them prices for various things आप do on Fanpop. They have no further purpose, it’s just fun to get them.

3. How do I get Caps?
That depends on the kind of cap. The system for getting them is automated (like the medals) so whenever आप deserve to get one, आप will. Some can be earned द्वारा doing specific things, others are दिया randomly.

4. What different kinds of कैप्स are there?
So far there are 5 different types of Caps. I’ll explain every type and how to get them here:

4a. फैन्पॉप Firsts
There are 5 कैप्स to earn in this category so far:
1. Fanpup: “Welcome to Fanpop! You’ve earned this adorable कुत्ते का बच्चा, पिल्ला for joining the फैन्पॉप family. We’re glad to have आप here!” This टोपी is earned when आप शामिल होइए Fanpop, therefore every Fanpopper has this cap.
2. Picture Perfect: “Now don’t आप look sharp in that प्रोफ़ाइल picture आप just uploaded? या is that a picture of your dog? Either way, well done.” This टोपी is earned when आप अपलोड a प्रोफ़ाइल picture.
3. Speak your mind: “You added a आदर्श वाक्य to your profile. Good for आप for speaking up for yourself.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा adding a आदर्श वाक्य to your प्रोफ़ाइल page.
4. Wall: “Writing on someone's दीवार on फैन्पॉप is not really vandalism, we approve of your graffiti here.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा लेखन something on somebody’s wall.
5. Facebook: “ Thanks for फेसबुक Connecting us! आप really "like" us! Don't worry, we won't spam your News Feed.” This टोपी can be earned when आप connect your फैन्पॉप account to your फेसबुक account, and like the फैन्पॉप page on Facebook.



4b. Frequent Flier
There are 5 कैप्स to earn in this category so far:
1. Tourist: “ You've visited फैन्पॉप 5 days in a row! You're just starting to fly.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा visiting फैन्पॉप 5 days in a row.
2. Sightseer: “You've visited फैन्पॉप 10 days in a row! Let's get आप in a real plane.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा visiting फैन्पॉप 10 days in a row.
3. Traveler: “Wow! You've visited फैन्पॉप 20 days in a row. आप must like us! Time to upgrade that old thing with a private jet.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा visiting फैन्पॉप 20 days in a row.
4. Jetsetter: "Holy cow! You've come to फैन्पॉप 50 days in a row! You're totally addicted. Time for a jumbo jet for आप and all your fans." This टोपी can be earned द्वारा visiting फैन्पॉप 50 days in a row.
5. Globetrotter: "Visit फैन्पॉप 100 days in a row." This टोपी can be earned द्वारा visiting फैन्पॉप 100 days in a row.



4c. Holidays
There are 6 कैप्स to earn in this category so far:
1. Valentine's दिन 2011: “Will आप be our Valentine?” This टोपी was earned द्वारा everyone who visited फैन्पॉप on Februari 14th 2010, Valentine’s Day.
2. St. Patrick's दिन 2011: "May the luck of the Irish be with आप today!" This टोपी was earned द्वारा everyone who visited फैन्पॉप on March 17th 2011, St. Patrick's Day.
3. April Fool's दिन 2011: "Stay on your toes today!" This टोपी was earned द्वारा everyone who visited फैन्पॉप on April 1st 2011, April Fool's Day.
4. Earth दिन 2011: "We've only got one, let's cherish it." This टोपी was earned द्वारा everyone who visited फैन्पॉप on April 22nd 2011, Earth दिन 2011.
5. Easter 2011: "Time to go find those eggs!" This टोपी was earned द्वारा everyone who visited फैन्पॉप on April 24th, Easter 2011.
6. Happy Birthday 2011: "It's your birthday! We're honored that आप chose to spend part of it with us so here's to you!" This टोपी can be earned द्वारा visiting फैन्पॉप on the दिन आप registered as your birthday in आप account. This कैप्स was introduced in April, so birthdays before that were not rewarded with this cap.



4d. Good Luck Charms
There are 7 कैप्स to earn in this category so far:
1.Gold Coin: “There's luck on both sides of this coin!”
2.Wishbone: “May it break your way!”
3.Ladybug: “Looks like ladybug luck is on your side!”
4.Rainbow: “What's at the end of it?”
5.Shooting Star: “When आप wish upon a star...”
6. Pot of Gold: "Enjoy this pot of सोना before the Leprechaun realizes it's missing!"
7. Horseshoe: "Point the ends up!"
All the कैप्स is this category are दिया randomly. There is nothing आप can do to earn them. Just spend time on Fanpop, and आप might just be rewarded with one of these.



4e. Experience
There are 5 कैप्स to earn in this category so far:
1. Novice: “You've been a member of फैन्पॉप for a month! You'll be a pro in no time!” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा being a member of फैन्पॉप for one month.
2. Learner: “You've been a Fanpopper for a साल now! Time to ride with the big boys!” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा being a member of फैन्पॉप for one year.
3. Veteran: “It's been 2 years since you've joined Fanpop! No और bikes for you, you're cruising now.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा being a member of फैन्पॉप for two years.
4. Expert: “Three whole years as a Fanpopper! आप are clearly ready for your license to Fanpop.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा being a member of फैन्पॉप for three years.
5. Master: “Can आप believe आप joined फैन्पॉप four years ago?! Here's a bigger ride for आप and all your प्रशंसकों to cruise the site in.” This टोपी can be earned द्वारा being a member of फैन्पॉप for four years.
