Hello, I'm writing a paper on the differences bettween the american and british version of Downton Abbey. Now I'm analysing the cultural specific elements I found in some cutted scene.
My question is the following one: Downton Abbey 1x06 ITV or 1X04 PBS: When Sir Anthony and Edith are talking about 'The Kaiser' and later of 'Kaiser Bill', did you immediatly understand that they were refering to William II, the German Emperor?
