WTH happened with Joey Barnes and the band and is he going to make it solo?

Anyone know? I know that the site says it was a mutual decision and blah blah, but the guy left suddenly in the middle of the tour. Most of his tweets about the band aren't very pleasant sounding, and he seems kind of angry and bitter. Deana, Chris's wife, and him have had some mild twitter wars.
Whats up with him? Why did he leave anyway? Ohhh and big question, IS HE GONNA MAKE IT AS A SOLO ARTIST??????????
