I think Season 4 and 5 because truly Season 3 will be a focus on getting Stefan back, Originals and Elena trying to figure out her true feelings for Damon while fighting it. Damon will be all about business because he still thinks that Elena just have friendship feelings for him and that she is all about Stefan. Would be funny while Elena is having all these loving feelings for Damon that he is completely clueless, even when she acts jealous when a girl flirts with him.

Season three will be all about them growing closer, and I think season five will be them actually being 'together', DEX and all. I think S4 will be SE based with DE as well, but not as big as S3/S5. And I think S6 will be equally focused on SE/DE.

At this point it really is hard to tell since we don't if it will run 6-7 seasons like BTVS did but if it does I assume they will continue to grow close as friends in season 3&4 and mabye development in the romantic/sexual department in the last
few seasons so that it can be almost equal with 4 seasons

ITA with Spuffy. And it's good like that, because I love their build-up and IMO I wouldn't ship them so hard if it wasn't for the brilliant build-up. And we all know that no matter what we'll always get a ton of amazing and epic scenes.

S3 to me is a lot from Elena's POV, realizing that it won't always be Stefan, and she will probably feel guilty for her feelings for Damon but she can't do anything about it, but she doesn't want to be another Katherine. When they will find Stefan is sure that Elena will be back with him, together with Damon they will help him not being the 'ripper' like they helped him in S1 but it will be waaay more hard. BTW I think Delena really happening is in S4/S5.

Yeah season three will be bout elena and her feelings to damon but i dont expect her 2 give up easily she'll feel guilt denial and loooove!! Gosh im excited

Cant wait for all delena moments

She will deny for season 3, than in season 4 she'll come around and FINALLY (I hope) she'll understand her feelings in season 6!!
