you want your image on a separate layer not background if it does this your best opening a new project at any size and copy and pasting your image in

ok wait.. first i open up the photo? then i make a 'new' photo file that is whte? then i drag the image to the file?

theres a button on the top line that says prtsc that one is print screen then you paste it in paint thats for the printscreens

the new one just close the original now it doesnt matter

as long as your still on layer 2 just click over the image
