Chapter 15 : Giving In

In the dead of the night, a figure silently crossed the dark gardens of the royal castle. Athena slowly retreated from her balcony, to peer at the stranger from behind her curtains. As he slowly walked into the moonlight, she realized it wasn't a stranger.

Prince Randolph seemed to be clutching something in his hand, as he made his way to the maids' apartments. What was he doing up so late? Shutting the balcony door, she quietly exited her room, and made her way into the gardens.

She stepped into the gardens, cursing herself for not bringing her scarf with her for the chilly night. Trying to make as less noise as possible, she followed him, but he seemed to sense her presence. He turned around for an instance, and it was only a miracle that there was a पेड़ अगला to her so she could hide. He didn't seem convinced that there was no one following him, though. He came a few meters away from Athena's spot, and upon finding nothing too suspicious, went back on his way.

Slowly coming out of her hiding spot, she tried to follow him again, but द्वारा then, he was out of sight. She had no choice but to go back to bed.

Randolph slowly climbed through Isabella's balcony. Unfortunately for him, the balcony door creaked as he entered the room, making him wince. Isabella was sound asleep, as were her friends. Making his way to her bed, he placed the rose and चमेली on it and then noticed her face. She didn't seem to be sleeping all that soundly.

He stepped closer to her to get a proper look, but suddenly, her eyes opened, and she pounced on him.

Isabella landed on चोटी, शीर्ष of the stranger in her room with a thud. She quickly grabbed his कॉलर and held him to the ground. Her eyes met with a pair of very..familiar eyes.

"Randolph!" she whisper-yelled, scrambling away from him. What was he doing here?

She spotted a rose in his hand and realized...he was 'Monsieur Mystery Admirer'! But how?

"Ugh, my head," he groaned.

"That's what आप get for breaking into a girls' bedroom," Isabella giggled quietly.

"I don't think so. I've been doing this every night, as I'm sure आप know द्वारा now."

"Yeah...about that..," she paused, "Come with me."

All of a sudden she grabbed his hand, unlocked the door, and flew down down the flights of stairs, near the exit of the apartment building.

"What on earth was that for?" asked Randolph, catching his breath, now speaking in his normal voice instead of whispering.

"Well, I'm so glad this is you, and not someone else!" she said, nearly squealing as she hugged him tight.

"Shall I take that as a compliment, or...?" he trailed off, unsure of what to say, and surprised Isabella was handling this so well.

All she did was sigh as he hugged her back.

Athena hadn't managed to fall asleep, and once again, stepped out into the balcony. Her slightly drowsy eyes immediately flew open when she saw Randolph again.

"What's he even doing up now?" she wondered aloud.

To her surprise, when he completely stepped out of the building, he was holding that Isabella girl's hand, and then twirling her around, both of them laughing at something.

Nearly tearing up, she collapsed on her bed, losing all her usual grace and poise, and buried her face in her pillows. This was what she had been worried about. Randolph – her Randolph, as she had grown to think of him – would be attracted to someone else, specifically Isabella.

"So, to finish this night, I have a question" कहा Randolph, as he took Bella's hand in his, "Will आप go out with me?"

"Yes! Though, Randolph, go out where, exactly?"

"You'll see," was all he said, winking at her. He gently kissed her hand, and before she knew it, he was gone.

Needless to say, Isabella and Randolph, had slept quite a peaceful sleep that night. The same couldn't be कहा for Athena, though.

A/N : हे guys. I'm so sorry this chapter was so short, so rushed, and so lame. Seriously, I need to improve my लेखन skills – especially romance. I mean, I have the whole scene in my head, like I'm watching a बार्बी movie, but I don't exactly know how to write it down. I've searched all of गूगल for tips, and I'm trying to follow them. Maybe आप could give some tips? As always, feedback is much appreciated! Laterz!
