Is the language used In Pandora existant या was it invented for the Movie?

The Na'vi language was invented solely for the movie. :) आप can actually learn the 'language' at link . It's pretty interesting... but difficult though. xD

The Na'vi language was created द्वारा Paul Frommer specifically for अवतार as per James Cameron's request. Although it is currently estimated at somewhere between 500-1000 words, it will most likely grow into a full language. Dr. Frommer himself कहा something to the extent that he hopes the language will become और लोकप्रिय than the तारा, स्टार Trek language Klingon. On a link from the site: learnnavi.org there is a petition to have Frommer continue to create and teach the language. The language is relatively simple to learn is आप can understand linguistic terminology.

no it didn't already exist. it was in the credits that some guy made up the language.

I think it's pretty outstanding that they've made up their own language for the movie and it sounds like a language that does really exist.

Yeah, they made it up for the movie, they made about 5000 words....or something like that.

Well i think that the writers of अवतार completly made up the language but it was good the way they made it up :)
