​Zayn Malik\'s only gone and landed himself his third fancy magazine cover this month after having his fit face plastered all over The FADER and Billboard. Yup - he\'s done this dead snazzy shoot with Ellen von Unwerth for L\'Uomo Vogue and, more to the point, he\'s still adamant he \'hasn\'t spoken\' to any of the One Direction boys since leaving the band.

Except Liam Payne. He\'s spoken to him \'a bit.\'

El Maliko first claimed he\'d \'reached out\' to Liam, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson but got \'no reply\' in Billboard - and now he reckons the boys were telling porkies about being in touch with him.

Chatting to the mag, Zayn said: "To be honest, I mentally and physically distanced myself from what I was doing creatively because I didn\'t want any part of it really. It didn\'t feel like I was really being me.

"​The truth is I haven\'t spoken to any of the boys at all really, I spoke to Liam a bit and that\'s just the way it is.

"I did try to reach out to a couple of people and they didn\'t get back to me, but then publicly, when they were asked questions about it, said that they\'d spoken to me and that we were friends.

"But that\'s not the case, I tried to reach out and be their friend but they haven\'t even replied to any of my calls or texts."

He did add that there\'s \'no competition\' between him and the lads, though. So yeah.
