The waiter watched for a second. Looking at the quiet girl sitting in a corner booth in the diner. All alone. She looked a bit dressy for being at a diner. A grey dress that hung to her curves, and a blue blazer. And to him, she was actually very pretty, and lucky him, she was in his section. had he been one of his friends, he would have strut over and flirted focusing on nothing but her figure. But he had a bit और respect, आप know?
"Hello miss! my name is Philip, i'll be your server today. What can I start आप off with?" he was almost surprised when a matching pair of tired brown eyes looked up at him. They seemed doe like mixed with sad puppy. Did he mention tired. Much in contrast to her dressy look. Her soft गुलाबी lips spoke, "just some water with a नींबू please." it was a hushed whisper, but he heard her and nodded, "Coming right up Miss." he walked back to get her, her water, but turned the glance back at her.
The girl herself was lonely, she sighed and pulled a pen from her pocket in the blazer and doodled on the napkin. Her eyes stung with tears she had been holding in all day. She honestly hadn't wanted to step out of her house today, but some people she might call family insisted that she go out and enjoy herself. Getting annoyed with their chatter, she left, just so they'd shut up.
The waiter came back and set down her water. "anything else i can get आप miss?" the girl sighed, "um..i'll take a slice of pie. its my birthday आप see." Philip smiled in surprise, since it sure didn't look like it was her birthday, being sad looking and tired. "Oh! Its one the house then!I know its none of my business miss, but if its your birthday, shouldn't आप be out celebrating?" The girl shifted awkwardly in her seat. He frowned, "Sorry, sorry. Didn't mean to pry." And walked off, feeling stupid.
When he returned with the pie, she wasn't there. Instead there was a note with a couple of bills. 2 five dollar bills The note read "Eat the slice, take 5 for आप and another for the pie."- B Philip stared at it for a moment and smiled. He looked out of the window where the booth was, and there stood the girl. Her pale skin contrasting against the summer atmosphere. Her lips smiled while her her eyes कहा tired, then she just...vanished. He blinked in surprise.
The girl was walking down a pier now. Throwing stones into the water. She reached the end and sat with her legs dangling, "another साल of uselessness and empty gestures." she sighed and looking at her murky reflection in the water, "Year 347. And still no family या friends. How utterly meaningless. is this how its going to be forever? Lonely walks, people prying, constant moving? Is that all that's left for me?! She cursed at the blameless water.
She let out another sigh, one of her प्रिय actions really, and her voiced softened, "I wish these days would never come.Just skip over me. What do i need with another साल huh universe? Give it to someone who wants..no, NEEDS it! Cause i sure as hell dont!" She threw another stone into the water, and tugged on her black hair.
She started again, her tone now annoyed and regretful, "guess i wont let आप kill me today ocean. Since i promised." She stood up and started to walk away, "it is my birthday after all."
