"Sarah!" Mother called. "Please get away from the window. Close the curtains and come on out here in the रसोई, रसोईघर with me."

Sarah had her small, chubby nose up to the window in the living-room. She had her eyes peeled to the window for the past hour. It was snowing wildly and it was very windy. She was waiting for her dad to come घर from work. He was already an घंटा late.

"Come on, Sarah," coaxed her mother. "Daddy will be घर soon."

"But, where is he?" five साल old Sarah pouted. "He should have been here द्वारा now."

Sarah joined her mother in the kitchen. She pulled out a brown leather chair and...

Winter's Winsome Weather

Crisp Winter, final season of the year,
Comes suddenly when awesome Autumn's past
The frost makes Winter mornings bright and clear,
But fosters Winter's biting icey blasts.
But Winter's winsomeness is also there,
The snow which hides the scars of furrowed ground,
The frost that sparkles on the hedgerows bare,
The snow that muffles harsh intrusive sound.
Ah! Winter, time of joy and peace and cheer,
Of carols chant and chimes of क्रिस्मस Bells,
The promise of 'The प्यार that casts out fear',
The pleasure of sweet spicey Yuletide smells.
Remind us after Winter comes the Spring
When all things bright and beautiful will sing!

Auroras, also known as northern and southern (polar) lights या aurorae (singular: aurora), are natural light displays in the sky, particularly in the polar regions, and usually observed at night. In northern latitudes,...

Just another दिन in paradise . . .

It’s almost four degrees below zero and I step outside.
Snowflakes twinkle lazily in the air as they head for the ground.
Everything is covered in a blanket of snow.
The world is undisturbed as not even a bird chirps.
I take a step into the crunchy snow.
Freezing air wraps around me and I shiver.
I venture another step आगे and I’m swept into a beautiful world.
There’s white as far as the eye can see.
I take a breath of fresh, crisp air and lean down to take some snow.
The snow is perfect: Ominous white made of thousands of compact snowflakes.
I lick the snow, my tongue brushing along each bump.
I feel a drop on my head.
    I look up.
In a flurry, snowflakes dive bomb to the ground.
The fall around me, and I open my mouth.
Tiny little snowflakes land in my mouth.
    I smile happily.
    I प्यार winter.
