CHAPTER 1: फ्रेंड्स ARE LIKE AN UNREAD BOOK!!!
It was 7:00 o'clock and my alarm went off. i couldn't bother to get up but it was back to school. The first दिन of school was such a bludge and I hated it, but today I'm starting a new school. We have just moved here to Forks from Australia(dad got a new job so we had to move). America is so different but I like it. I start at forks highschool today and so does my brother and sister Xaviour and Carlie, Xaviour is 18 and Carlie is 15, I'm 17.
"Steph wake up आप can't be late for your first दिन of school" Dad yelled from downstairs
"I'm awake, I'm coming down for breakfast" I yelled back.
I leapt down the stairs two at a time and stumbled on the last one.
"Have a nice trip there Steph" Xaviour called from the dining table.
"Shutup Xaviour"

I grabbed breakfast and walked outside.
"Where do आप think your going" dad asked
"Get the newspaper" I कहा sarcastically
I quickly grabbed the newspaper because it was raining and i walked back to the dining table. I turned to the car section.
" When can I get a car Dad"
"Look outside Honey" he कहा cheerfully
Sitting outside in the rain in our driveway was a was a brand new KIA.
"Are आप serious dad I प्यार it"
I quickly got dressed and got my पुस्तकें and bag and ran outside to my new ute. I drove slowly and when I got there everyone was staring. I quickly got out and walked into school.
"Hi आप must Stephanie Cirillo. My name is Katelyn Salafia."
"Umm yea hi"
Katelyn had beautiful copper-blonde hair and black pitch eyes. She looked very intelligent.
" What is your first class" she asked
"Calculus"
"Same i'll दिखाना आप around school"
"yea ummm sure"
She showed me to my locker and then a girl came out of a classroom and running to Katelyn.
"Katelyn!Katelyn!"the girl yelled so loud she nearly burst my eardrums.
"What's wrong Samarah" Katelyn asked
"I heard this new girl from Australia is starting here............oh Hi आप must be Stephanie" she chuckled breathlessy when she realised I was there.
"Hi seems like everyone here knows me" I told them shyly.
"Yea your like the gossip now" Samarah said.
"Where is Arnie and Ashleigh they are going to be late" Katelyn asked Samarah.
Then two girls one with glasses and the other tall, came down the hall talking.
"Ashleigh, Arnie! hurry up we're going to be late for class" Katelyn yelled across the hall. They quickly ran over to us and we went to first class.
Calculus was boring and so was spanish and then we had sport-my least favourite subject-with Samarah and that was alright except for me tripping over every 5 minutes.
Then it was lunch and we got a तालिका, टेबल in the cafeteria. I went to the सलाद bar and filled my plate. I turned around and guy with beautiful blonde hair and pitch black eyes was looking at me. I kept filling my plate with सलाद and looking at him and then खाना fell to the ground. My cheeks went bright red and I heard my फ्रेंड्स laughing quietly to themselves. I picked it up and chucked it in the bin on my way back to my table.
"Who is that guy over there with the blonde hair?" I asked still looking at hikm.
"That's my brother Zane" Samarah told me.
"Oh!"
I looked at Samarah's eyes and they were pitch black to. I took another glance at Zane and then the घंटी, बेल went for अगला class.

As I stood द्वारा my truck Samarah, Katelyn and Samarahs brothers walked to their cars. I got in my car and drove घर quickly even though my truck didn't go very fast. Xaviour and Carlie betg me home. I walked in and went to my bedroom and turned my computer on. I had a message from my mother. It just कहा she got to Canberra safely and other सवालों mothers would usually ask. I answered back and then turned my computer off. I decided to take a jog, so I grabbed my आइपॉड and joggers and I headed for the door.
"Steph where are आप going?" dad poked his head around the corner.
"Just for a jog"
"becareful Steph there are a lot और people around here than there was back घर OK" he assured me.
"yes Dad"
I walked out the door and turned my आइपॉड on and started jogging. I thought I'd cheat today and get घर early so I cut through the forest and started jogging back home. I noticed my shoelace had come undone so I knelt down and did it up. I heard a rustle in the झाड़ी, बुश infront of me, I looked up and there was a big black ugly dog snarling at me. It ran at me and grabbed my leg.
"Arghhhhh" I screamed
"Get off me आप dirty dog! Your ripping my leg off! Get off me!"
The dog started to drag me into the bush. Then something flashed past me. There was a big cut in my leg and there was blood everywhere. Then Zane all of a sudden came out of no where and the dog backed away into the bush. Zane picked me up and walked through the trees.
"umm thankyou" I told him, he didn't answer me या talk at all.
He was so cold like ice. I shivered and he must have noticed because he had a hint of regret on his face. We finally got to his car and he placed me in his car and sped off at full speed.
"Umm.... hi thankyou for saving me. I'm Stephanie. Your Samarahs brother right?"
He didn't answer. He kept on driving and then we turned a corner, a silver bugati pulled over infront of us and blocked our way. Zane pulled over and wound down his window. Katelyn was driving, she looked at me and then pressed something. Out the चोटी, शीर्ष of the car Samarah popped out of the sunroof.
"Zane are आप crazy! What have आप done!"
Samarah literally screamed.
"I couldn't just watch her get mauled द्वारा that dog." Zanes voice was beautiful it was like velvet. It was soft and delicate, it was like, if आप touched it, it would break into a million pieces. I heard Samarah scowl and she went back down into the Bugati. Zane shut his window and drove off at full speed. We ended up arriving at the ER, Zane left as soon as I was in the doctors office. They put three stitches in my leg and bandaged it up. Dad came and got me and आप could tell he was angry, there was steam literally coming out of his nose.
"What happened Steph?" He asked all anger hidden with panic.
"A dog attacked me but Zane Fletcher scared the dog away. He had to leave early though"
I lowered my head as I कहा the last thing.
"NO और going through that forest" dad yelled at me.
"Fine" I grumbled under my breath.
I limped to the car, opened my door, hopped in and slammed the door behind me.
Why was Zane being so rude? and what had Samarah meant that he was crazy?
On the way घर dad trying giving me a safety lecture but I didn't listen I was too caught up in my thoughts. I skipped रात का खाना and went straight to bed. I had nightmare about the dog and what it could have done to me if Zane didn't दिखाना up.

Morning came and even though I didn't have a great sleep, I felt alive and awake. I got dressed and raced downstairs for breakfast. I had some टोस्ट and a glass of juice, then raced to school. I was early so I decided to use the rest of the morning to study for the spanish test I had 4th class. I sat in my truck पढ़ना over my notes when I heard a tapping noise on the window. I jumped as I saw Katelyn standing there. I hopped out and started walking to class.
"what happened to your leg Steph?" she asked sarcastically.
"You very well know what happened to my leg so don't act like आप don't. Why was Samarah being so rude, did she want me to die because it seemed like it" I explained to her.
"She didn't want आप to die thats a little over exaggerating. It's hard to explain"
I looked at her eyes and they were golden, topaz, liquid eyes, they dazzled me as I stared at her. I quickly turned around and ignored her. I saw Zane and ran up to him.
"Arr, हे Zane can I talk to आप please"
He walked over to me and stared at me blankly.
"about yesterday "
"there is nothing to say about yesterday" he कहा in a खट्टा tone and walked off.
"Urghhh" I stormed off to class quickly and angrily. I sat down at a empty तालिका, टेबल and stared out the window and his face came into view. I grunted under my breath and looked away. I couldn't stare at an obnoxious rude boy. I tried focusing on my work but Science wasn't my best subject.

The दिन was going pretty quick since it was lunch. I didn't want to sit with Samarah and Katelyn so I decided to sit द्वारा myself. A tall fair haired girl came walking towards me she sat down and looked at me.
"Hi I'm Jessica Waters, I'm in your maths class" She कहा sweetly and quietly.
"Hi yea I know you"
"Don't आप usually sit with them" she nodded off to Samarah and her friends. Thats when I noticed two additional guys, one sitting अगला to samarah and another near Katelyn. The guy sitting अगला to Samarah was nearly as delicate as she was. The one near kately was big and muscly, nearly as big as a dinosaur.
"Umm Jessica"
"Just Jess" she corrected me.
"The guy with Samarah is Alex and the big one is Jeremy" she pointed toward them, each one looking at her as she कहा their names.
"How did आप know what I was going to ask you" I asked curious.
"It was obvious" she blushed and turned away.
"Don't get yourself involved with them, they are a bad influence."
I looked over to Samarah and katelyn and they were walking towards me.
"Arr I have to go" Jess leapt up and strided away.
Samarah stopped and stared at me.
"Yes!" I asked stubbornly.
"Well..I..um I'm really sorry I didn't mean to say that" she stuttered.
"It's alright Samarah"
"Steph I want आप to promise me something. Don't talk to या even be फ्रेंड्स with Jessica Waters" Samarah warned me. She looked pretty serious so I just nodded. Katelyn walked away but before Samarah could I grabbed her arm.
"Why won't Zane talk to me he is being a bit stubborn and rude" I whispered in her ear.
"Be patient Steph he will eventually talk to you, I'll make sure of it" Samarah smirked
"Thanks"
