Can Edward read Bellas mind when she becomes a vampire in Breaking Dawn?

Bella's vampire power is a sheild.And, yes, he can.But it's only at the end of Breaking Dawn.

Well yes and no. See Bella has this "shield" which makes her immune to all vampire gifts/extra abilities. Since Edward's mind-reading talent is a gift/extra ability she is immune to it so he cannot read her mind. However, Kate a member of the Denali coven taught Bella how to use her shield properly and Zafrina,another vampire, taught Bella how to temporarily rid herself of the shield. When Bella temporarily rids herself of the shield, she is no longer immune to vampires' gifts/extra abilities which means she is no longer immune to Edward's mind-reading and he can read her mind. So he can only read her mind at times when she gets rid of her shield.
