Chapter Four: Back To School
I stared outside my side window of the Magix hoverbus, thinking about going back to school and seeing all my फ्रेंड्स and the specialists again. In the magical universe, summer only lasts for a दिन unless आप go on a holiday to Earth, या any other non-magical planet, will आप ever get some days off school. ‘I wonder how Rose is going at home.’ I thought, sighing. Since the last time I saw my little sister, I haven’t seen या heard her from her bedroom. It worried me to the core that Rose could somehow be in danger. “Are आप okay, Flora?” I heard Chatta’s voice अगला to me. I turned my head away from the window and saw Chatta in her usual outside, hovering in mid-air beside me. I nodded, smiling at her. “Yes, I’m fine Chatta.” I told her as calmly as I could. Chatta arched an eyebrow at me, making me nervous and scared for a moment, until she smiled and कहा “Okay.”, which had me soothed and not afraid anymore. I glanced down at my folded hands that were in my lap and heaved a sigh. “Chatta…” I began, sensing her look at me and wait patiently. “I’m sorry for not being able to spend our summer together like before, but I…guess I wanted to see Helia.” I explained, almost softly and sadly. It was silent for the past few मिनटों before I heard Chatta speak. “It’s okay, Flora.” She said. I looked up at her. “I knew आप wanted to see Helia anyways. I was doing fine at your house too.” Chatta explained and I smiled and hugged her tight.
“Thanks Chatta,” I smiled. “Anytime, Flora.” Suddenly, the hoverbus skidded to a stop, right in front of Alfea, a school for परियों in learning, all over the magical universe. “We’re here!” Chatta cried, excitedly. I grabbed my suite case from beside me and followed Chatta outside the crowded door. I closed my eyes and breathed in the fresh, gusted scent of the nature forest that surrounded the fairy school like a magical wall. I initiated my eyes again, seeing that there were lots of teenage परियों making their way to the Alfea gates, talking to each other as they went. “C’mon, Flora.” Chatta urged. “Okay.” I nodded and began to amble myself to Alfea. “Name, place and origin.” I heard Miss Griselda, the Head of Discipline, say to a short, purple headed girl with bright light cyan eyes. “My name’s Nisha Lorelei. I’m pretty sure I have my name there though.” The short, गुलाबी headed girl कहा in a quiet voice. She sounded scared. I saw Miss Griselda look down at the clipboard she had in her right arm, and nod. “Yes, आप may come in.” Miss Griselda ticked the girl off on the clipboard. Over the past year, Miss Griselda hadn’t changed her mood since I was here. But I knew she would change somehow and I believed that. “Good morning Miss Griselda.” I कहा in my gentle and soft voice. I thought I sounded like Nisha Lorelei. I smiled at that. “Yes, good morning Miss Flora.” Miss Griselda कहा in her same, strict and serious voice that she used against others. “Welcome back.”
“Thanks,” I smiled. “When is the school assembly?” I asked. “We won’t be having an assembly for the whole school. Only for the new students.” Miss Griselda explained, pushing her black glasses back on her long and narrow nose. I beamed. “There’s new students this year, Miss Griselda?” I asked, excited. Miss Griselda nodded. “Now Miss Flora, I suggest आप go to your dormitory before I रिपोर्ट आप to Miss Faragonda’s office.” Miss Griselda कहा it in as a warning sort of tone. I trudged past her without question. As I walked to my dorm that was shared with Bloom, I thought about Mara. ‘I hope Mara’s doing okay back in Linphea.’ I thought, reaching my arm out to the doorknob of me and my friends’ dorms and opened it. “Bloom!” I heard Stella scream as I stepped into the main room and shut the door behind me while Bloom cried out from our room, “Yeah, Stell?!” that had its door open. I waved as soon as I saw Bloom when I dropped my suite case in the doorway. “Hey Flora!” Bloom saw me and rushed up to give me a hug. “How was Linphea?” She asked as we pulled away from each other. “It was great.” I said, trying to sound happy and excited. But the truth is, I was still worried about Rose and my Mom.
“Where’s Lockette, Bloom?” I heard Chatta beside me. “Oh, she’s helping Stella in her room find a great dress to impress Brandon.” “Same old Stella,” Chatta giggled. “Okay, I’ll see ya later Flora!” She flew out of the dorm without another सेकंड to lose. “Hey Bloom, can आप help me on trying to be fabulous?!” Stella cried from her dorm. “Stella, Flora’s back!” Bloom exclaimed as she and I walked out of our dorm. Just then, the main dormitory door opened with a light bang on the purple दीवार and I saw Musa standing with her radio bag slung on her shoulder. I saw Musa’s hair had transformed into an extendedly long dark azure plait unlike last साल when she had her hair short and in two pigtails. “Wow Musa! आप look awesome!” Bloom smiled at her friend. “I know and since my hair is longer than before, I wanted to plait it for the first दिन of school. I had my hair spelled which is why it is like this now.”
“You look beautiful, Musa.” I smiled at her as she walked towards us. “Thanks Flo.” Musa came to hug me and then Bloom. “So how’d your holiday go in your worlds?” Musa asked. “Mine was good.” I said, using the same tone I used with Bloom. “Same with me,” Bloom said. I noticed Musa was staring at me intently with worry in her eyes. “Flora… Are आप okay? What’s wrong?” Bloom heard Musa and she also started to get a little worried. “Did something happen at Linphea?” She asked. I looked down and sighed. But before I could tell them about Rose’s changes of herself, I heard Tecna’s voice close to our dormitory, in the hallway. “That’s it Digit! Oh migod, my bags are always so heavy!” Tecna appeared in the door with Digit trying to hold the bottom of Tecna’s suite case with her small, but strong, hands from falling to the floor. But it was too late.
Tecna accidentally tripped on her own feet when she tried to squeeze her way through the door with Digit, and her suite case slipped out of her grasps like Digit, making them both fall to the floor with the suite case that popped open immediately when it made contact with the ground, spilling clothes on the floor beside it. Tecna and Digit stared at the suite case for a while and then glared at each other. “This was your fault Digit!” “My fault Tecna? How is it my fault?” Digit snapped in her technical voice. “You were the one that was clumsy enough to trip over your own feet!” “Hi guys! What’s the fuss about, Tecna’s suite case?” Musa asked. “Yes!” Tecna screamed. “Calm down Tecna,” I tried to soothe her. “It wasn’t anybody’s fault.” I told them. Tecna and Digit sighed and hugged each other. “Sorry Digit,” Tecna कहा to her bonded pixie. “Me too Tecna,” Digit said. “Where’s our hug?” Bloom asked smiling. Tecna laughed and hugged all three of us tight. “It’s great to see आप guys…wait, where’s Stella?” “Oh, आप know how she is…she’s with Amore, Lockette and Chatta in her room trying to find an outfit for Brandon to admire.” Musa explained. “Oh cool, I’ll meet up with ‘em then! Bye Tecna.” Digit flew to Stella room, opened the door with her magic and flew in. Already, I could hear Stella complaining on something which could be clothes, and the pixies complimenting her as she went.
I giggled and the door closed after a few moments. “Hey Tecna, do आप mind helping us out with our suite cases after you’ve done your one first? We might need some help since Stella’s busy right now.” Bloom asked and Tecna nodded. “I’ll be right there soon.” She told us and began to repack her suite case again. “I’ll be back everyone,” I कहा as I walked to the main dormitory door. “I just need several मिनटों to be द्वारा myself outside of Alfea.” I added in case one of them would ask. “Okay Flora. Be careful.” Bloom said. “I’ll be back shortly.” I reassured my फ्रेंड्स before walking out of the room. I almost heard Tecna ask someone about me, “Hey, is Flora okay? Did something happen to–?” Then that was it. I sighed and brushed my bangs away from my face before I heard lots of feet coming my way. I quickly moved to the दीवार and watched all the new students going up to their dormitories, all looking excited and happy for their first class period. It reminded me of how I was in my first year. Before I could turn my head away from the cluster of students and start walking outside into nature, I spotted a sixteen-year-old girl who had pink-and-red hair. "Mara?!" I cried and the girl stopped running with the crowd. She turned around and saw me.
Her eyes beamed when she saw me and I think mine did too because I was - and still am - happy to see her. Mara rushed up to me and gave me a tight hug. "It's so good to see you!" Mara grinned. "Are आप transferred here?" I asked, excited. "Yeah! I signed in last week, but I didn't know आप went here!" Mara play-punched me in the arm. I laughed. "I do go here and I'm a senior student." I explained. "Really?" Mara's eyes widened like saucers. "Man, you're lucky." She smiled. I noticed her suitecase and tilted my head at it. "Need any help?" Mara shrugged. "If आप insist. I don't mind." I nodded and took her suitecase from her. "Show me which room you're staying in. I'm sure your roommates are not going to bite you." Mara scoffed. "Oh please Flora. The last thing I want on my first दिन is someone scorning me." Mara's eyes twinkled and she winked at me. I smiled. 'This is going to be the best साल ever.' I thought, following Mara up the stairs of Alfea to the dormitory rooms.
