Elena of course!!! But i choose this because somehow Damon played a big part....Even though he wasn't there he saved Elena somehow. I loved tha flashback when we saw the good part in him. I mean "I want you to get everything you're looking for." Very sweet. I loved how he saved Rebekah. His scenes with Alaric. Amazing.

Well maybe a bit of questioning.
At first I thought it was Jeremy and Matt, but I then I realized it was more Bonnie. Jeremy and Matt because technically, if Elena had still been at home, or if Matt had just run over Rebekah, Elena would still be alive. But one life in the grand scheme of things isn't that big a deal :( sorry Elena. But Bonnie saved an entire race, Klaus's race. But then I got to thinking, she wouldn't of had too if Elena hadn't made that deal with Elijah and if Alaric wasn't still alive, which all leads back to Elena. So there, Elena is the most important character in the Departed, because if she wasn't alive, Bonnie wouldn't have had to save Klaus which renders her almost useless. Plus, she saved Matt :) So Elena wins!

She plays the biggest part of all show.Everyone and everything depends on her.
