Her range is spectacular, and the differences she brings to Katherine is remarkable. When she plays Katherine she is such a different person from Elena that sometimes I have to remember they're played but the same person. In the trailer for second season Katherine kinda gave me chills... And I'm not saying this because Nina plays two characters at the same time and Kat one... Not completely, but I just don't like her with them. Kat is very talented(hello triple threat!)But acting wise, Nina's performance as Katherine won it for me. Although some people don't think Nina Dobrev is a good actress, I think she's AMAZING! I think she does better as Katherine, but she does great at Elena as well. Maybe it's because she didn't have to do much in S1 but her facial expressions were always very...wooden. I don't get any kind of feeling from her. Maybe that'll change in the future though.
