I've performed in two productions of it! In the first one I played Marta (the second youngest of the children) and in the second I was a nun. But I have never seen it myself.

But one of the drama groups I am with are performing it next year, and I think I'll watch it then instead of taking part in it a third time! I expect it will be really good. :)

I saw it in Chicago in 2000. Richard Chamberlain played Captain von Trapp and he was quite good, and the woman that played Maria was excellent. However, I still prefer Julie and Chris.

I saw one years ago at my sister's middle school. I saw another production at a community theater three summers ago. They were well done, even though there were a few things that I missed from the movie.

It was good, but i love the movie!

The one production I saw at my sister's middle school. The kids that played Captain and Maria were really good and into their characters well. They didn't sing "Something Good," nor "An Ordinary Couple." (Probably due to time constraints of running the play). Instead they had a kissing lesson. All I remember is that the Captain hasn't kissed anyone in a while since Agathe's death and has forgotten how to kiss. Maria says it's easy. She told him all he had to is pucker up his lips like that and gives him a peck on the mouth. The captain does that and they pecked each other on the lips.

2/3 times but loved the movie more!
