Did I Stutter? - Deleted Scene #3 

SCENE #1
(Jim is in the annex talking to Toby)
Jim: A formal warning? Seriously?
Toby: Well, as you know, Dwight has filed a lot of complaints against you over the years.
Jim: And no one cared.
Toby: But now it's being looked at as more of a productivity issue.
Jim: Productivity? My numbers are good.
Toby: I know... but Ryan thinks that they're not good enough.

SCENE #2
(Ryan is sitting out in his car, talking to the camera)
Ryan: Wallace likes Jim. So, going after him...that's a risky move for me. But in business, you gotta take risks. Sometimes you gotta get out on the open highway with the top down.
(Ryan sits there, smiling, waiting for his car's hood to go down, but it doesn't. He eventually has to push it down manually. Once it's down, he looks back at the camera, trying to look cool)

Oh my gosh! That part with Ryan had me laughing harder than any part of the actual episode! I wish they had kept that in there. Oh man, that was great.

They should have used these scenes. If they had, this episode would make sense. As it was, we were left scratching our heads -- "what was that all about?!" Seemed like everyone was out of character. With these scenes, we would have understood it.

Toby and Ryan are in cahoots I think to bring down Jim. Toby is doing it because Jim is in love with Pam, who he wants, and Ryan, well, Ryan's just an @$$.
I think why Ryan is making such a big deal about this now (if it is due to Dwights complaints) is because of the Night Out bonding they had. I think Ryan now feels more of a connection to Michael and Dwight than he did before, and due to that, now sypithises more with Dwights hatred towards Jim.

Actually, I think it's because Ryan feels threatened by Jim. He knows that Wallace likes Jim, he knows he's a good salesman, Jim dates the girls that Ryan wants, etc. I think Ryan doesn't want to lose his job so he's doing what he can to protect it.

According to the writers, Toby is NOT out to get Jim. He's just merely a innocent bystander who is enjoying the proceedings. However, as far as Ryan is concerned, I want to see him hit by a bus. Not a fast bus, because I don't want him to die. Just to suffer. Was that mean of me? ;D
