Why do people hate 9?

People always seem to forget about/hate 9. What is their problem? Their explanation always has something to do with Rose. "Rose was good with 10, not 9!"
I have 2 problems with that answer.
a) What does that have to do with why आप hate 9?
and
b) 10 inherited her प्यार and trust from 9.
And then there's the classic: "He's too old."
Have आप SEEN the first Doctor? He must have been 70 and 9 is what, 40?
10 is my favorite, but why do people hate 9?
