Is the actor who played Patrick really that smart या is he just hot?

I dont think that Simon Baker is really like that. People have to train and go to classes for many years to have skills like that. To be a mentalist and an actor would be quite an accomplishment!!!

To learn all the lines, and portray the character so well, he'd have to have something upstairs =]

Well I'm sure he's not a mentalist in real life, but he does have to be fairly intelligent to remember all those lines.
