Yes, what are the odds anyway that a lion pride has only one cub. It would've been cool if they had somehow made Simba's pride have more males than just him and through them a few more cubs.

That way it makes more sense for Kiara to be/feel overprotected and be interested in Kovu when she first meets him (since she's never met anyone her age).

I think Kovu being an outsider would be more than enough for her to be interested, especially as he intrigues her with his "coolness" and they shared that little adventure with the alligators. :)

I just think it's really, really sad that she was so alone in Pride Lands. I don't know if they meant the moment she's trying to get Kovu play tag, to be cute or what (among showing that Kovu doesn't know how to play), but I just find it really, really sad for both poor cubbies. Kovu doesn't know how to play and Kiara doesn't have anyone to play with apart from adults. -.-

There should be more though, i can't get why the lioness always get female, there has to be at least 2 or 3 more male cubs born and about 2 or 3 more females too :D!!!

Official is the vision or approval of a source's creator. Unofficial is the outsider-created vision based on that source's creators' material. Thus both sides naturally want it to be recognized which part of the combined entity is theirs and which is not. That's why the definitions and their recognizion matters.
