I'm all for more Hunger Games but I find this whole "splitting two movies" thing unnecesarry. Harry Potter had to do it because if Deathly Hallows were to be one film, it'd be 3-5 hours long. Twilight didn't have to do it at all but I guess it can pass because Breaking Dawn was longer. Mockingjay does NOT have to do it at all. I think they should just put it all into one movie. I'm curious to see how they'll pull it off, but I still disagree with the idea.

^I disagree. Although they could probably do it in one movie, that would mean the standard condense to movie format. I'm hoping that by making two movies, we'll get more book details translated to film.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that this isn't a good idea. Mockingjay would make a fantastic finale as ONE film. This whole two-film thing is getting very annoying. Like I said before, Potter HAD to do it (fun fact: they didn't want to at all but Yates, the director, had a tough time putting it into one film he had to or else large chunks would have been taken out making the book not make any sense). Breaking Dawn didn't really need to but I see why they did. Making it into one film would have just been a huge rush. Mockingjay does NOT need to do this at all. Besides, Mockingjay wasn't as heavily detailed as Catching Fire and Hunger Games...

I know all the dates for when they come out , and yes I think it should be in two. But there a year apart. But who wants to watch one long movie , and it keeps people excited

i can see both sides of the argument here.... the one that bugs the crud outta me is that they are gonna split The Hobbit into three films....

This is a bad idea because people get more anxious to know what happens next. And because sometimes if there's a huge gap between the two movies coming out, then people forget what happened in the first. Annoying...it doesn't have to be like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.

Honestly I think it will be good either way. It is a shorter book, so it would make sense to fit it all in one movie. Then again there are alot of details and moments that need to be seen, so to movies might make it good...plus it's another movie we get to enjoy. I'm trying to imagine what the ending of the first movie would; maybe Peeta choking Katniss when they reunite...hmmm

Is it really that long? Sometimes I feel that film makers now believe they have to cut a film in half if it's longer than the standard 2.5 hours - and I can watch ones which are 3 or 4 hours long! All you need is an interval break, not 2 separate films.
